The economic mess we’re in is bi-partisan.  If Republicans had governed like conservatives while they were in Congress we wouldn’t have these economic problems, and they’d still be in power.

The purpose of government shouldn’t be to do good, but simply to refrain from doing evil.

Not quite. Reagan had a crash on his hands and did nothing. The problem was over in months. Bush had a crash on his hands, and responded. A year later we’re still dealing with it.

Kenny. IMHO I believe you are mistaken. The Savings and Loan collapse happened during the Reagan presidency and Reagan contrary to your assertion did have his hands on it.
