CNBC Rings The Death Knell Of Conservatism - And Says Rush Limbaugh Isn’t Worth The Money He’s Paid
Wow.
CNBC, in all their infinite wisdom, not only objects to the new deal that Rush just made, they’ve rung the death knell of conservatives everywhere.
Sharpen the claws, boys and girls. CNBC has their back arched and are hissing and spitting over the new deal Rush Limbaugh just made with Clear Channel:
WOLFF: I think it’s a monster error. I’m sitting here saying, “What are these people smoking?” You know, the truth is that Rush Limbaugh has been, um, uh… He’s ridden the rise of conservatism for 25 years, and I—I don’t… Maybe nobody quite—quite has been following the news, but that’s coming to an end. It’s going to be over, and Rush Limbaugh, in a relatively short period of time, is going to look like a kind of really out-of-it oddity. And I cannot, for the life of me, imagine how someone could have made this deal.
Oooh. He’s in quite a hissy, isn’t he? Of course, nobody brings up the fact that Rush is on over 600 radio staions. He’s a product that sells. Unlike the dismal Air America, that couldn’t beg, borrow or steal listeners.
Granted, the libs are enjoying a momentary lapse of reason on the part of the general public, but it won’t take long for it to sink in that their idealism, sweet and wonderful as they think it is, is a recipe for disaster.
Their celebration of the death of Conservatism may be premature as well. It’s sort of like the preface of a tsunami - the water draws back, the beach clears, and everything is just fine. Then the wave hits.
Look, I don’t always agree with Rush. Any thinking person doesn’t just automatically agree with every point presented to them by anyone, but I recognize that he’s one hell of a radio power. Is he worth the mega dollar deal he just signed?
If I were running that radio channel I’d say - you betcha.
