Club For Growth Drops A Bomb On Huckabee

Not that it matters what fiscal conservatives want out of this primary season any more now Huckabee and Romney have made it clear that all we’re going to talk about is religion from here on out, but here’s Club for Growth fighting the good fight by dropping $175,000 on running this ad in Iowa and South Carolina:

Huckabee is a tax hiker.  And Mitt Romney, for his part, supported socialized medicine in Massachusetts.  But hey, they’re both smooth public speakers and know how to quote the bible, so I guess conservatives should just ignore that stuff.

The smoke-filled rooms of the Democrat Party have hatched their plan to win in 2008 and the name of that plan is:

OPERATION H.U.C.K.A.B.E.E.

Yesterday, Time Magazine published an article called “Why America Love Huckabee”.  The whole article basically slobbers all over Huckabee for having every positive trait a human could ever look for in a President.

Now, of course, we know that Time is ULTRA-ULTRA-ULTRA LEFT WING.  So why would Time Magazine be so ORGASMIC over Huckabee?

It gets better.  Today, Newsweek (part of the Time Family of Magazines) announces a new Iowa poll showing Huckabee EXPLODING to a 22 point lead!  Now mind you, every other poll has shown it a dead heat.

Huckabee just had a HORRIBLE WEEK OF NEGATIVE PRESS (other than the Time BJ), and then Newsweek has him up 22.

WHY WOULD THEY DO IT?
The Democrat Party wants to run against George Bush again in 2008.  George Bush is a socially conservative populist.  Mike Huckabee is a socially conservative populist.  It’s perfect.

So they write stories explaining why “America Loves Huckabee” then the next day follow it up with a poll that shows Huckabee up over 30 points in 2 weeks despite a week of horrible news.

It’s the oldest play in the Dem Book.  Write a bogus article then follow it up with a bogus poll to support the article.  Then get the rest of the MSM to all say, OMG, OMG OMG!”, and the people follow like sheep.

I wonder if Huck knows he is just being used as a pawn by the left?

And if Huckabee gets the nomination?  Don’t expect “Why America Loves Huckabee” in Time Magazine.  Expect “Why Huckabee Loves Rapists and Murderers” in Time Magazine.

Ak, Ok.  Just looked at the sampling in the crazy Newsweek Poll.

They only polled 275 people.  Your typical “scientific poll” has at least 600.  What a joke.

What a joke.

No, that would be a Romney bot talking to itself! smile

The other joke, would be Shill Twitchell, who has been fawning over every poll he’s ever read, (but seldom cited) which showed Romney with a faint or even statistically insignificant lead!
Admit it, Shill! The last poll you hyped had Romney leading by 1 ! (You forgot to mention the margin of error in that poll, Shill!)
You have a lot of nerve (understatement) carping about the scientific shortcomings of the Newsweek poll, while simultaneously quoting a Romney lead well below the margin or error.
You’re right for a change!

What a joke!

Bill,

I dont know weather to laugh or cry at your conspiracy theory?  It’s as if you think Huckabee had a Democrats hand up his ass during the debates.  Huckabee raised eyebrows for Huckabee, not the Dems.

If the damned Democrats are so well at crafting victory, why did we loose in 2007 and why even bother fighting it out amongst themselves?  Perhaps your damned party isn’t made up of a bunch of right-wing radio-listening, hate-filled-bloggers hacks that you think it is?  Perhaps some of them have minds of their own?  Perhaps many of them like Huckabee?

Your paranoia is scary, it makes me wonder just how loony the right really is.  Crazy!

Oh, and Clinton is crazy for believing there is a vast right-wing conspiracy.  Right?  Pshaw!

Actually, my “crazy conspriracy theory” was put forward by Rush Limbaugh on Thursday.  Guess he’s nuts too.

Proof is the result of a brain removal experiment gone horribly wrong…

...and name for me the last time Time Magazine wrote a glowing article about ANY conservative - ever?

When the MSM LOVES a Republican, you just KNOW something is up.

Pathetic attempt at humor! Or was that your rebuttal? Can you refute any of my facts? (Such as the last poll you quoted?) No. Is it evident that you post your drivel in inappropriate places? (Like the Andrews Sisters’ Christmas Carol!) Yes.
Is there any doubt that if someone had a brain removal it is: the Clueless Shiller? No doubt!

BTW, quoting Rush as a source to back up your argument? Weak. Same as when you quoted Ann Coulter a couple days ago. “Rush agrees with me! Ann agrees with me!” Poor substitute for reasoning. But, then, so are you!

First off, I’m no lib!!!! I am also not a right
wing-nut. I’m more a libertarian with a burning hate for any extremisism. (also a friend of Seth who blogs here a lot) I’m trying to find a candidate who is real and holds their own beliefs regardless of any one else’s. Does that candidate exist? Thompson? Maybe - but where is he? I have seen almost nothing about him - from him nevermind other media sources. I wish Newt would run so we, as card carrying republicans, had a strong candidate who was willing to stand by his covictions… and beat Hillobama

Sounds contradictory to me.
