Clinton On The Economy In 2010: “Give us two more years. If it doesn’t work, vote us out.”

President Obama is going to Ohio today to make the case for staying the course on his economic policies. Ironically enough, President Clinton gave a speech in the exact same place two years ago, and at the time he said that if the Democrats’ economic policies haven’t worked by now they should be voted out.

“The Democrats are saying something like this: ‘We found a big hole that we did not dig. We didn’t get it filled in 21 months, but at least we quit digging,’” Clinton said at the time. “‘Give us two more years. If it doesn’t work, vote us out.’”

Clinton has been defending capitalism and defending the Bush tax cuts. He’s criticized the Obama administrations permitting delays for oil drilling.

Who knew that Clinton would be such an effective antidote for Obama?
