Climate Change Scientist: We Should Jail Those Who Don’t Agree With Global Warming

Yikes...

David Suzuki has called for political leaders to be thrown in jail for ignoring the science behind climate change.

At a Montreal conference last Thursday, the prominent scientist, broadcaster and Order of Canada recipient exhorted a packed house of 600 to hold politicians legally accountable for what he called an intergenerational crime. Though a spokesman said yesterday the call for imprisonment was not meant to be taken literally, Dr. Suzuki reportedly made similar remarks in an address at the University of Toronto last month. . . .

Toward the end of his speech, Dr. Suzuki said that “we can no longer tolerate what’s going on in Ottawa and Edmonton” and then encouraged attendees to hold politicians to a greater green standard.

“What I would challenge you to do is to put a lot of effort into trying to see whether there’s a legal way of throwing our so-called leaders into jail because what they’re doing is a criminal act,” said Dr. Suzuki, a former board member of the Canadian Civil Liberties Association.

Well, there is a historical precedent for throwing people in jail over scientific disagreements.  Just this time, instead of the Catholics doing the persecuting it’s adherents to the church of global warming.

LOL… we don’t even hold politicians accountable now for crimes they commit that are actually in the law books.

He is a former board member of the CCLA, sister to the ACLU.  Strange how civil liberties only count when they don’t impact liberal causes.  Listen in on a phone call and bam, your the devil—demand the imprisonment of those who disagree with you and your a hero!

Everybody remembers Eisenhower’s warning about the, “military-industrial complex,” shoot, it has become the siren call of some.

Few if any recall — and it is never repeated — the second of the two specific warning he made in that very same speech:

“The prospect of domination of the nation’s scholars by Federal employment, project allocations, and the power of money is ever present — and is gravely to be regarded.

Yet, in holding scientific research and discovery in respect, as we should, we must also be alert to the equal and opposite danger that public policy could itself become the captive of a scientific-technological elite.” (emphasis added)

The scientific-technological elite, Eisenhower truly was prescient. Read the speech, it could have been written today.

And on that specific thought, I completely agree with him.  We can start with Al Gore and anyone in congress who actually believes his crap.

Suzuki-san has been spewing crap like this for years. And the environazis would dearly love to be able to imprison and re-educate people, just like Fundamentalist Muslims do with madrases.
