Cindy’s Fifteen Minutes Are Truly Up (This Time)

Ever since Cindy Sheehan first made headlines during her protest down in Crawford, Texas at the President’s ranch many have predicted that her “15 minutes of fame” would be up soon.  Many of us wondered why the media would continue to devote so much coverage to a woman so clearly unhinged and with little substantive content to add to the national political debate.  The answer to that was staring us in the face.  Cindy became, and stayed, a media star because she was a sympathetic figure who could be used to bash the President over and over again.

Now, nearly a year and a half after that initial protest, Cindy is still making headlines (must-see video over at Hot Air).  But not for much longer, I’ll predict.

Now that Cindy is targeting Democrats and becoming a thorn in their side she is about to be dropped like a hot potato by the Democrats and their allies in the mainstream media.  No more special invites to Congressional functions from Democrats.  No more glowing, sympathetic media coverage from the journalists.  Cindy is now an embarrassment to the media and political liberals who perpetuated her fame, and she’s about to get swept under the rug.
