CIndy McCain Teams Up With Pro-Gay Marriage Activists

This is sure to get some people’s panties in a bunch:

The NOH8 Campaign on Wednesday announced that Cindy McCain, the wife of former Republican presidential nominee Sen. John McCain, has posed to demonstrate her support of marriage equality. NOH8’s Adam Bouska has photographed thousands of subjects since California passed Proposition 8 in 2008. All of the subjects are photographed with duct tape over their mouths to symbolize that their voices aren’t being heard on the subject of marriage equality.

I don’t get the tape over the mouth thing. Is someone preventing pro-gay marriage activists from speaking out? Because it seems to me that they’re everything but restrained in their advocacy.
Outside of that, I don’t really have anything to say about this. I’m fine with gays marrying. So, apparently, is John McCain’s wife.

    She looks like a “trollop”.

Cindy and Megan must not be getting enough attention….tools.

I agree that the tape thing makes no sense. No one is being silenced from speaking out.

I do not understand some of the fuss about this. She is not John McCains robot. She has her own opinion, and it differs from her husband’s. He is the one in office, she is not. Who cares…shrug

Marriage IS between a woman and a man. That is the definition, and no amount of lawyersh*t crying will change that fact.

  • sayanything-2

Exactly who is being silenced on this issue? All you hear is blahblahblahblahblah about it. What a massive crock of sh*t. When people are given a vote on the issue it goes down in flames, every time. And no one is being silenced, censored or even harshly criticized on their advocacy for this complete and total non-issue.

Marriage should be with one man and one women to be joined in union to make one in the eyes of God.

  • sayanything-4124

The fuss seems to be that she differs in opinion from her husband, and that somehow makes “him” a hypocrite because he holds a traditional view of marriage.

My point was just that she isn’t some extension of his brain, and if she has that opinion, it doesn’t reflect on *his* beliefs, nor does it make him a hypocrite.

Not getting what you want is being silenced. As is being criticized. The idea of leftists is that the simple disagreement with them is wrong.

Free speech for me but not for thee…and all that.
