Chuck Norris Thinks John McCain Is Too Old To Be President

I think this barb about John McCain’s age from Chuck Norris is part of a trend we’re seeing from Huckabee.  Huck himself likes to come off as the affable country pastor who is above all the nasty mud-slinging.  In the background, though, he’s got his surrogates doing the dirty work.  There were pro-Huckabee groups push-polling in Iowa.  There were pro-Huckabee groups push-polling in South Carolina.  There was also a pro-Confederate flag group running ads in South Carolina praising Huck and disparaging his opponents.

And now Huckabee’s constant campaign companion, Chuck Norris, comes out and hits on the touchy subject of McCain’s age.

What will Huck’s reaction be?  He’ll probably repudiate Norris’ remarks in the same, if somewhat less harsh, way he repudiated the groups push-polling for him.  But even as he repudiates, he’ll sit back and benefit from it (now that someone’s broken the ice, McCain’s age and health is about to become an issue that Huck the health nut can capitalize on) showing once again that a smooth operating politician lays beneath that humble, southern-fried exterior.

It’s scary to think that anyone takes Chuck seriously.

Huck is a snake.  He had a chance to repudiate Chuck’s remarks right then and there but he did not.  He made a joke instead.

Wow, just actually watched the tape.  I am betting that McCain’s blood is BOILING over that.  It will be great to see these two buddy buddies becoming arch enemies.

Substitute “Mitt” for “Huck” and “Bill Mitchell” for “surrogate” and you have the same thing happening at SA!

It’s not an unfair thing to point out McCain’s age. He’s even older than Reagan was when he ran. Assuming he wins, he’ll be 72 when he takes office. The chances of him dying during his term are not minute. It may not seem like the nicest thing to bring up…but lets not pretend it’s not relevant.

It’s all political bullshit. Liberals (and Robert108) lie and spin and twist and obscure and distract and cheat to protect their guys and hurt the opposing team. It’s like wrestling. They distract the ref while their team mate hits you with a chair. There’s no rule they won’t break, no law they won’t skirt, no crime they won’t forgive as long as they can win.

And Huck has a bald spot.  Anyone is welcome to point out this fact.

Chuck pointed out an obvious.  The elephant in the room.

He’s old and frail looking.  Should that have an effect on our decisions or votes?  That’s up to you.

And me.

Oh well, if he makes it to the convention alive he’ll probably make it thru the Election.  Then we’ll have VP Thompson to take over when he croaks.
So you Fred Heads should be glad McCain is looking over the edge of eternity.

If he doesn’t make it to convention, it’ll be wide open.  You can still have Fred.

Politics ain’t beanbag.  If you can’t take it kwitherbitchn and get out.

McCain is too old,

Romnoid is too phony,

Thompson is too corpse-like,

Hillary is too Republican,
Obama is too inexperienced,
Edwards is too far behind,

What does one do in the face of such crappy choices? I guess just write off 2008 as another shitty election year and wait until the corporate powers and their installed corporate puppets destroy the country, and then maybe out of the ashes of the ruins someone will emerge that will restore our country to its former greatness.

Chuck’s wife, not Huck’s silly.

Anyway, according to Rasmussen, Romney has opened up a BIG lead in Florida!

The latest Rasmussen Reports telephone survey finds Mitt Romney with a lead in Florida’s Republican Presidential Primary. John McCain and Rudy Giuliani are close behind in what may develop into a three-man race. It’s Romney at 25%, McCain at 20%, and Giuliani at 19%. Romney has picked up seven points over the past week while McCain and Giuliani each inched up a point.

Bill Mitchell on January 21, 2008 at 09:34 am

You’re just trying to push the Fredheads to Rudy’s camp aren’t you.

Well, the choices left are not all that great are they? Saturday with my family in the mountains, most of them very, very liberal; they said two things that caught my interest. (1) They were afraid of Obama and would prefer Hillary, thinking as bad as she is, at least understands the real world a little better. (2) They would seriously consider Huckabee because of their Christian values, but didn’t like McCain or Rudy and could at least stomach Mitt.

It appears from what many here have said, if it is Huckabee or Mitt, they won’t vote from them. So, hello President Osamabama or Hildabeast!

The operative word being “fixed”, as in “the Fixed News channel”. Thanks anyway, but truth would have sufficed.

What is a socialist doing using a computer?

This socialist is doing what every other socialist does - using the technology they brought to the world. All of the software that this website runs on was written by socialists, either from Europe, or socialists in liberal universities all over this country. Socialists build the technology, give it away for free, and then corporate pigs come along and capitalize on it and make money.

Where do you think Linux, the operating system that this website runs on, came from? It came from Finland, a socialist European country. Where do you think Unix came from? From Berkeley University, CA. If it weren’t for socialists, there would be no computers, because there would be no software to run the damn things.

Socialist on January 21, 2008 at 11:55 am

It will be Hillary if its a Democrat.

There is so much DIRT, really bad DIRT on Obama that has not come out yet; he will be crucified.

So, we’ll see.  Its Hillary or a Republican.

Even for you, this is a monumentally stupid statement.  No one would have anything if not for free markets.
It’s not socialism that brings you more powerful computers every year for less money.  It’s not socialism that allows you to have discretionary income that you can spend on buying personal toys like computers.

Facts muck up their theories and a free market requires effort and ingenuity and - horrors! - not everyone succeeds. You are correct. It is me busting my ass making a living that allows me to buy whatever the hell I decide to buy. It sure as hell isn’t some Republican screwhead waving the free market “magic wand” and sprinkling money on me.

Socialism is the foundation upon which a free market is allowed to work. I know it requires thinking deeper than a 2 word bumper sticker slogan, but socialism keeps the free market in check and keeps it from destroying itself. A free market allowed to run away on its own always leads to disaster. History proves it over and over. The roaring Republican 1920’s followed by the Great Depression is the best example, and it took a socialist FDR to straighten it out and prevent it from happening again.

Socialist on January 21, 2008 at 03:14 pm

This…

Socialism is the foundation upon which a free market is allowed to work.

is without a doubt the most aromatic pile of warm horseshit to hit this blog since an equally ignorant twit brayed on and on about Palestinians and FICA credit scores.  I can only imagine what cereal box you read to “learn” economics, but no breakfast cereal, no matter how wholesome or colorful is worth the appalling ignorance your statement betrays.

In fact, economic reality aside, your statement makes little sense.  Socialism works only when everyone participates.  Which means those of us intelligent enough to know better have to be forced by government.  Which kinda undercuts the notion of freedom, and free markets, in the first place.

As for this bit of leftist fantasy,

...and it took a socialist FDR to straighten it out and prevent it from happening again.

sorry, but as I pointed out two days ago, FDR did no such thing.  Indeed, were it not for FDR’s vile socialism and autocratic expansion of government, the Great Depression might have been over in little more than two years.  As it was, when the US entered WWII in December, 1941, the nation’s unemployment rate was still over 10%.

People who are actually familiar with economics know this already.

Socialism is the foundation upon which a free market is allowed to work.

You have it exactly backward.  Socialism is the State ownership and control of the means of production, which means that you can only manufacture and purchase what the State allows.  It’s the exact opposite of a free market.  I didn’t think you could be any more stupid than your previous comment, but you surpass yourself.
BTW, that’s not a good thing.
