Chris Matthews New Tingle Up His Leg: He’ll Run For The Senate

Fresh from his part as a mole for the Obama campaign (he was masquerading as a journalist) Chris Matthews has decided to run for office himself:

According to multiple sources, who confirmed the Tip O’Neill staffer-cum-MSNBC host has negotiated with veteran Obama staffers to enlist in his campaign, Chris Matthews is likely to run for United States Senate in Pennsylvania in 2010. Matthews, 62, would run as a Democrat. Arlen Specter, the aging Republican incumbent, will be 80 if he chooses to run for re-election.

I guess having an overblown sense of self importance and about how much his opinions really matter has convinced him that he’s the man for the job. Besides, it will give him a chance to be close to his hero, the Messiah.
Hey, Chris, is that a bill in your pocket, or are you just glad to be near Obama?

    Chris Mathews was a political talk show host who interviewed people, not unlike Hannity and O’reilly.

    Matthews was Rush’s fill-in for the longest time. He is one of those who is politically motivated by what’s best for him at the time. He wrote some of the most god-awful speeches for Carter! The famous “malaise” speech, that everyone has always joked about, the one where Carter wore the cardigan and told everyone to turn down the heat, was Matthew’s baby. Go to youtube and watch it. It really bites.

    Matthews is a whiny douchebag. He needs to get muzzled, not run for office. However, if he does run, and get elected, the people who vote for him will confirm just how ignorant the American people are.

    So here we have a journalist who was supposedly providing objective analysis on the last election getting help from one of the campaigns’ staff to launch a campaign of his own.

    That sort of collusion is illegal in the private world.
