Chris Matthews: America’s Mood Is Like “Dallas In 1963″

We’re all presidential assassins now, I guess.

CHRIS MATTHEWS: You know there’s going to be a lot of talk about the tragic blessings of the Kennedy family, and the curse. And it’s all nonsense. These people were courageous risk takers. Kathleen Kennedy, the girl, the oldest daughter, she was killed with her lover traveling on a plane ride she never should have taken through terrible weather in Europe. Joe Kennedy, Jr. took a mission that nobody should have taken in a plane loaded with dynamite to go blow up the V-1 rocket sites. Jack Kennedy was killed in an open car in Dallas in the midst of the most hated–it’s like the mood we’re in right now.

For the record, Lee Harvey Oswald was a socialist not some conservative who didn’t want the government to pay for his health care. And nobody in the mainstream conservative movement wants Obama assassinated.
We just want him booted from office. Not that Chris Matthews and the rest of the paranoid haters at MSNBC can tell the difference.

So I guess that means we can expect another leftist/communist to take a shot at Zero any day, right?

  • SigFan

Matthews is so blatant about his love affair with the left it’s a wonder that anyone can consider him a journalist at all. I saw a statement from him that Obama is the last Kennedy brother. Which if true would go a long way toward explaining things.

  • DINO

And nobody in the mainstream conservative movement wants Obama assassinated.

    BULLSHIT.

There is no mainstream conservative movement. It’s all nutjob fringe.

  • Buzz

And nobody in the mainstream conservative movement wants Obama assassinated.

    You mean except republican congressmen.

  • Bat One

Love the front page picture, Rob! Abortion advocate Chris Matthews standing in front of a backdrop featuring Save the Children and Father of the Year logos. The irony is exquisite!

  • FreakyBoy

Uhm, Chris, wasn’t JFK murdered by a fellow commie?

  • Onslaught

Chris Mathews is like “Jonestown in 1978″

  • http://www.bikebubba.blogspot.com/ Bike Bubba

Yes, Oswald had tried to defect to the Soviet Union–I can’t remember why he came back, or how he was allowed into the country. Of course, Matthew doesn’t want to admit that JFK was killed by someone perilously close to his political views, and so he slanders the entire city of Dallas.

  • FedUp

Oh, for heaven’s sake! His name was Kennedy… doesn’t mean much to most people… but it is a great rallying cry to give communist health care a shot in the arm.
Matthews and the rest of the lamestream media needs to breath into paper bags… or plastic ones…

Chis Matthews is where he belongs–at the bottom of the ratings. Never much to start with (a Carter speech writer–yikes), he has become nothing but a monumental toady for the Obama administration.

I was around in 1963; in fact I saw President Kennedy in Tampa, where he was well received the week before he was killed by that tortured little lefty. The counrty was doing fine, JFK was popular after backing down Khurshchev and introducing a tax cut. There was no reason to expect an assassination attempt then, just as there is no reason to expect one now.

The question in need of an answer–how partisan does one have to be to raise that issue now? Better yet, how desparate? This is Chrissie’s clumsy attempt at stating that, if you offer up strong dissent to an African American President, well then you’re going to kill him. I can’t even imagine how this must have struck Barack Obama–if I were he, I would be thinking this numbskull is trying to get me killed.

And they say a low rated cable guy can’t cause serious problems.

There is no mainstream conservative movement. It’s all nutjob fringe.

And this is what were suppose to have an open and honest debate with? There is no reasoning or debating anything with such willful ignorance. These types must be ignored until they muster the spine to make there move. They contribute zero to anything resembling political discourse.

  • 2Hotel9

Funny, every person who has killed a President in America was a Democrat. Now Matthews is joining with sanni and dinothefakehomo in calling for violence. Its all Democrats have ever had.

  • DINO

Tuna, if Kennedy were around today the insurgents that call themselves conservatives would be demonizing him the same as your filthy tribe did Clinton and now, Obama.

There’s a core group of stems in this country who see any non-conservative leader as illegitimate. Of course, their support of conservatives has gotten them nothing but debt, decline, decimated retirements, stagnant incomes and evaporating home equity.

Isn’t it neat how voting republican carries a built-in punishment? LOL

  • FlyOnTheWall

Jack Kennedy was killed in an open car in Dallas in the midst of the most hated–it’s like the mood we’re in right now.

Man, Mathews is really hoping. It would be the trifecta to give symbolic meaning to Obama’s presidency. He’s black, liberal and if only some communist nut job would kill him he’d be a REAL messiah!

With friends like Mathews who needs conservatives?

  • Old Retired Petty Officer

What would he know about Dallas in 1963? Other than what he has read in historic documents. He was like me in 1963, a child. I remember it but not many details, I was nine for crying outloud. October of ’62 made a bigger impression. I lived in what is still missile silo country.

  • TUNA

JFK was not a member of your tribe. First off, he was a close friend of Joe McCarthy. Doesn’t that automatically preclude him from membership in your little Marx Bros. Marching band? Secondly, JFK believed the best way to raise tax revenue was to cut the marginal rate on those who are productive. He sounds more like Ronald Reagan than Bill Clinton, who, thanks to Perot, got elected, raised taxes, put mom in charge of healthcare, lost both houses to the opposition, gained a second term thanks to Perot and Dole, then took credit for welfare reform–that’s welfare, your little lefty chew toy. Clinton not only signed the bill, but later bragged about it–because he was a pragmatist, not an idealogue.

If JFK were alive today, he’d be 86 years old, and wondering what the hell happened to his party–

  • 2Hotel9

No, Tuna. Had Jack lived the Democrat Party would never have sunk into the hole filled with shit it currently occupies. Whole lot of things would have happened quite differently.

  • http://suitepotato.blogspot.com/ sayanything-4808

I was thinking more along the lines of partying like its 1999. Except for the back to nature ecofreaks on the left who want to party likes its 1399. BCE. They’re probably closer to the ideal time as Ted’s tenure certainly did feel like it was that old. His ideas were troglodytic fossils alright.

Chris Matthews should chill out. Like Ted is chilling.

Don’t these things come in threes?

Anyone check Matthew’s health lately? Pelosi’s? I’m sure those hypocrites have way more health care access than any of the people they want to deny it to with this government power grab kick they’ve been on.

If Dino wants to see some violence up close and personal, if he wants to man up, he could just go to a tea party, open his mouth, and see how long it takes for him to be ripped apart by the crowd.

Go on Dino. We encourage you to do it. Especially if it ends up on YouTube.
