Cheney To Spark Left’s Meltdown

"The day Dick Cheney is going to run for president, I'll kill myself," [ Veteran wire reporter Helen Thomas] told the HILL. "All we need is one more liar."

If this doesn't show the desperation and fringness of the Loony Left today, I don't know what does...

This could actually be kinda fun. Not the whole killing part, but the very idea of throwing out a Cheney bid for the White House. If I were Cheney, I would seriously think about floating this idea for a week or so come next year. It would be a great exercise in exhibiting the fringe of the Left if he did. Think about it...

Is it just me (cause i don’t watch news anymore), but hasn’t Cheney been MIA for some time now?

A flippant or off-hand remark does not mean that the speaker is “loony.”

Cheney doesn’t have the people skills to run for president, that’s why Bush is at the top of the ticket.  Cheney can be more effective out of the spotlight.

Absolutely true.  Helen Thomas is loony regardless of wether she made that comment.

Yep.  I think that pretty much says it.  I like Cheney, I just think we need somebody who is a better salesperson.

I actually agree with you guys about Cheney not being a very good candidate.  I don’t really want him to run at this point, I just think it’d be fun to “leak” the idea and see what kind of play it gets…

Ha.  Now that’s funny.

When the people fear their government, there is tyranny; when the government fears the people, there is liberty.
