Chavez Says ‘FARC You’ To Colombia

Raul Reyes

Is there any lower life form than a Marxist narco-terrorist?

How about the guys who bankroll them, such as Hugo Chavez. Colombia has proof that Chavez gave $300 million to FARC in the wake of the death of their caporegime Luis Edgar Devia Silva, aka Raul Reyes. Reyes was killed inside Ecuador last Saturday by Colombian forces, along with 20 other guerrillas.

Evidence found in computers seized showed that Ecuadoran President Correa "has a relationship and commitments with Farc", and that "other evidence in the computers suggests FARC purchased 50 kilograms of uranium this month." For peaceful research purposes, no doubt.

This has led to Chavez taking South America to the brink of war. War? It sounds like Chavez has been waging war against Colombia ever since FARC took him on as a stooge while planning his next coup against the government of Venezuela.

P.S. I wonder what Barack Hussein Obama and Hillary Rodham Clinton are planning to do about this. Check that . . . I wonder if they even realize what a serious situation this is. If they are even aware of it, that is.

And people call me extreme when I call for a simple end to this guy’s life.

Chavez is a potentially dangerous troublemaker. Kill him.

I heartily agree.  He has already acknowledged publicly that the US is targeting him.  There is nothing to be gained by making a liar out of him.  He will have to be disposed of sooner or later, anyway.

I gotta disagree - killing semi-democratically elected leaders is bad policy.

But that was damn funny, Bat.

Ken McCracken on March 3, 2008 at 08:54 pm

The thing is, can Chavez really expect the army to follow him now?:

He may be biting off more than he can chew.

I wonder what Barack Hussein Obama is planning to do about this?

That’s an easy one.  He’s going to talk to them.  You know say, “Hi”.  That’ll help

semi-democratically elected

I think you’re giving him too much credit.  In Venezuela toilet seats have a luxury tax.

I can’t imagine that this guy truly has a lot of legitimate popular support.  I think he keeps control like most dictators do: By making people afraid of the consequences of not voting for him.

And that’s not even a little bit democratic.

I’d just as not see another decades long Castro in the area.

Now that Chavez is trying start a war with Columbia, will he still be loved and respected by “peace activist?”

I fail to see what is so funny about FARC possibly possessing uranium.

Chavez is a socialist.  FARC is a socialist group.  Therefore, war in this instance is ok.

Justifiable socialist revolution.  Power to the people!

Did they, or did they not.
In this instance words like “suggests” and “possibly” are like farts. Absent any conrete evidence they stink.

Yeah, you are absolutely correct!  I think ellinas and all other tHugo Chavez doubters ought to have complete and total access to every piece of evidence seized, so they can relieve any smidgen of doubt that they might be incorrect!  Hell yeah!  ellinas and crew need absolute *PROOF*, baby!  [/obnoxious sarcasm]

You may be justified in your cynicism eventually, but I’d never doubt that a megalomaniac with boatloads of petrodollars would have nuclear ambitions.  But that’s just me.  For other, less jaded folks, they might think Chavez, et al, are goobersmoocherly great guys.  WTF ever.

.Absolutely nothing since they also embrace Marxist ideology.

You don’t have to be a moron to be a liberal Democrat but it sure helps.

Obama would invite Hugo Chavez to the White House, work his messianic magic on him, and Chavez would come to realize that only through cooperation can HOPE and CHANGE be achieved.

Hold it there fellah! Did anybody say Venezuela purchased uranium? I think you are talking out of urass.
The author of this thread said: “FARC purchased 50 kilograms of uranium”. Educate yourself as to who this FARC is. Have a nice day.

ellinas on March 4, 2008 at 09:30 am

Don’t kill him; you make martyrs that way.  Remember Salvador Allende?  Offing him changed him from a stooge of Fidel Castro to a hero of the American left.

Remember; a sabre rattled is a sabre in its sheath.  Also remember; there is a nonagression pact that would allow us to destroy any panzer column (they’re German tanks) or sortie into Columbian airspace.  If you blind and humiliate Venezuela’s armed forces, the guy who led them into the debacle will be gone soon enough, and he won’t be a martyr, either.

Bike Bubba on March 4, 2008 at 12:30 pm

Looks like the uranium story has been downgraded to something more believable:

Colombian officials have also accused the rebels of trying to buy 50kg of uranium to make a radioactive “dirty bomb”.

I think it’s fascinating how the socialists have gone ape-shit over the killing of a sick mother-fucker like Raul Reyes. May the MF burn in hell.

Carrick on March 4, 2008 at 08:01 pm

I do believe that Chavez may actually get FARC’ed himself.  There is the little matter of the Rio Treaty , which provides that an attack on one is an attack on all member states.

This is not to say that going into Venezuela will be a walkover.  They have the home-turf advantage, have state of the art weapons and plenty of oil and money.

If Bush is smart he will have had the intel section get a complete sit-rep on the area, dust off all the Pentagon contingency plans, start consulting with neighboring states to get as many South American allies on board as possible.  He would have stepped up the intelligence-gathering cycle to have imagery and commo intel keeping a complete profile on what is happening on the ground and start moving US and allied units into place.

Thus, when and if Chavez pulls the trigger, we and our OAS allies will be there to start breaking his toys, blinding his commanders and killing his warfighters.  Best of all would be a Decapitation Strike—where we get a 10-digit grid (within a 3 foot square) of his location and send a smart bomb to say hello.

Or—he could just do nothing.

It is of great importance to know:
WHO can push the button
WHAT the button is
so that
WE can be prepared to prevent it.

In a world where we rely on International Trade and Fair Trade practices and believe in stability....... Anyone who has decided that they can use their power and position to cripple an economy, or a country, while engaging in terrorist activities or affiliations....is in danger of being found out and brought to justice.
