I’m not sure there is anyone who has been more influential for me, personally, in my politics and how I see the world than Milt Friedman. He is an important figure for liberty-minded individuals, and tomorrow he’s being honored in Fargo/Moorhead by Americans for Prosperity. They’ll also be talking about school choice, an issue Friedman was passionate about.

Below is a press release for the event. I’ll be there, and I hope some of you readers in the area attend.

Americans for Prosperity Foundation cordially invites you to participate in this year’s Friedman Legacy for Freedom Day.This annual, international event provides supporters of Milton Friedman and lovers of liberty the opportunity to learn about the late Nobel laureate, to share his ideas, and to celebrate the impact they had on America and the world.

What: Celebrating The Benefits of School Choice
When: Tuesday, July 31, 6:00 p.m.
Where: Courtyard by Marriott, Salon E&F
(1080 28th Ave S., Moorhead, MN)

or Jessica Woods at jwoods@afphq.org.

Featured speakers Minnesota State Senator Gretchen Hoffman and North Dakota’s Brett Narloch, the Executive Director of the North Dakota Policy Council, will examine the benefit and advancement of education choice options (a cause for which Friedman passionately advocated).
