    It happened in with the Reagen administration from 1980-88. Democrats were coming over to the GOP to be on their side. If the republicans would get back to their conservative roots they would take power once again.

    This is the leftie politician scam: Institute a tax, claim it’s “for the children”, “for the poor”, or better yet, “for the poor children”, project that his tax sill bring in a certain sum, and then when it doesn’t(because people generally avoid punitive taxes), raise the tax because now the aforementioned program is “running a deficit”. They have been running this racket with the govt schools for quite some time now.
    Govt lefties will never have enough money for their “programs”, because they are only designed to line the pockets of useless politicians. When their programs fail, they whine that enough money hasn’t been spent, instead of scrapping the non-working program.
