Bush Passes Truman For Post-War President With Longest Time In Office Without Majority Approval

An interesting bit of trivia, I suppose.  But here’s the thing: Many on the left love Truman.  Barack Obama himself listed Truman as one of America’s greatest leaders:

At moments of great peril in the last century, American leaders such as Franklin Roosevelt, Harry Truman, and John F. Kennedy managed both to protect the American people and to expand opportunity for the next generation. What is more, they ensured that America, by deed and example, led and lifted the world—that we stood for and fought for the freedoms sought by billions of people beyond our borders.

Can the left finally admit now that public approval polls are meaningless given that good leaders must often make decisions that are unpopular in the moment for the long-term good of the country?

Pshhh. No way. That was then this is now.

In my opinion, no party should try and take possession and credit for that party’s past.

All Dem polling is “push polling”, and is as crooked as a dog’s hind leg.
