Boston Herald Prints Misleading Report About Bush Twins Streaking

Sigh...

Amid Argentinian tabloid reports that President Bush’s irrepressible twin daughters have run naked through a hotel hallway and were targeted by thieves, U.S. embassy officials have “strongly suggested” the spirited lasses cut short their trip to Buenos Aires, ABC News reported, citing diplomatic and security sources.

ABC News did report those things, but they also reported this:

One tabloid headline had the young women running nude in the hallway of their hotel, a report the hotel staff denied to ABC News.

Convenient that the Herald felt the need to leave that little tid-bit out.

Frankly, I’m irritated that ABC news and the Hearlad said as much as they did.  It still puts that mental picture of these wild & crazy Bush girls in the minds of their audience, despite the fact that there’s no evidence of it having occured.  Sounds like just another made up story to boost ratings at the expense of the evil Bush administration.  But hey, it’s ok to sell half-truths about Bush & his family, cuz he’s bad right?

Just for the record, the Herald is Boston’s right-wing tabloid.  The Globe is Boston’s primary newspaper.

It may be totally false reporting but either way the Newspapers need to learn that as they say on Fark “This story is worthless without pictures.”

If you can’t supply us with pictures why both reporting it?

(tongue firmly in cheek)
