Body Count Drops By 50% In Baghdad, Media Calls This A “Small Success”

Sometimes our military can’t win for trying…

BAGHDAD, Iraq: The Baghdad security operation has been under way less than three weeks but has already registered one small success: a sharp drop in the number of bullet-riddled bodies found in the streets — victims of sectarian death squads.

The number of bodies found so far this month in Baghdad — most riddled with bullets and showing signs of torture — has dropped by nearly 50 percent to 494 as of Monday night, compared with 954 in January and 1,222 in December, according to figures compiled by The Associated Press.

A small success eh?

Of course, had the body count gone up by 50% headlines forecasting impending doom and failure in Iraq would have been all over the place.  But body counts dropping by 50%?  No big whoop, I guess.

Move along.  No media bias to see here.

Sometimes it is hard to tell if we are fighting the media more than the terrorists??? 50% is great news! Our troops deserve so much respect. The left wants to think this is another Viet nam. Our troops were NOT drafted. Our troops are there because they enlisted and believed they could make a difference. It is too bad our country has become infiltrated with anti-america activists. OR at least it seems that way to me.

That scares me even more considering that the Dem’s call for “small” raises in taxes.
