Bob Dole’s Scathing E-Mail To Scott McClellan

Yikes!
I think he hit the nail right on it’s little pin-sized head:

Scott,
There are miserable creatures like you in every administration who don’t have the guts to speak up or quit if there are disagreements with the boss or colleagues. No, your type soaks up the benefits of power, revels in the limelight for years, then quits, and spurred on by greed, cashes in with a scathing critique.
In my nearly 36 years of public service I’ve known of a few like you. No doubt you will “clean up” as the liberal anti-Bush press will promote your belated concerns with wild enthusiasm. When the money starts rolling in you should donate it to a worthy cause, something like, “Biting The Hand That Fed Me.” Another thought is to weasel your way back into the White House if a Democrat is elected. That would provide a good set up for a second book deal in a few years.
I have no intention of reading your “exposé” because if all these awful things were happening, and perhaps some may have been, you should have spoken up publicly like a man, or quit your cushy, high profile job. That would have taken integrity and courage but then you would have had credibility and your complaints could have been aired objectively. You’re a hot ticket now but don’t you, deep down, feel like a total ingrate?
BOB DOLE

It’s refreshing to hear a politician, instead of tip-toeing around an issue for fear of creating offense, call a spade a spade or, in this case, a weasel a weasel.

Where was this passion in 1996? Sigh.

  • mygodyouredumb

Scotty Mac is learning that the last thing the Republicans want to hear is the truth.

I think kraloyun said it best when he said, “blaggatiy, goobersicle facebook weenie.”

I hope he gets his “twenty pieces of silver” and simply fades away.

The left will use him temporary and then cast him aside.

After this is over, even his children and pet dog will be suspicious of him.

Wish him luck, he is and will continue to be a pitiful human being. Used, abused, and put up wet.

“It took a while for him to realize that the administration were incompetent liars.”

    As is Scotty.

Anyone who is paying attention knows that Scott believed in the guys he worked for and in what they were doing. It took a while for him to realize that the administration were incompetent liars.
    Heh.

In other words, Scott is obviously a moron. But since he’s saying what I want to hear, I’ll call him a genius!

    Rich Galen on Mr. McClellan:

“When he stood behind that podium, nobody believed a word he said. Now that he’s saying bad things about the president, he’s a Delphic oracle.”

  • Hannitized

The only MAJOR problem with Dole’s critique, aside from the fact that Bush has about 16 other guys like Scotty writing books, is that Scott didn’t feel this way while he was doing his job.

Hannitized: Bob Dole has more character in one war-crippled arm than McClellan has in his entire heart and soul.

You defend Wright, Pfleger, McClellan; anyone who suits your agenda. I would like to think you have more character than that.

An 85 year old man who has killed far better men than scotty.

Scott… what a douche. If you’ve ever seen him interviewed on The Daily Show, etc. he never comes up with a good reason why he kept his mouth shut until safely out of his job. The interviewers seem to be so pleased with their snitch they don’t care about his motives. He’s clearly just a man with no principles who saw an opportunity to make some coin. It’s not like the info he “exposed” was revolutionary anyways. The war-mongering Bush Administration misled us into a war laden with ulterior motives? No way… It makes me sad to see him get so much money and attention for selling a book about a topic any reasonable, well-informed person understands.

For any voter trying to choose between the two candidates for commander in chief, consider this: It must have taken lots of balls for McCain to assume the same policy as the President… Not to mention the intense military competence he expressed by determining that more American guns = more dead Iraqis. Obama and McCain both simply assumed their party’s positions on the war, so how does this make McCain more righteous? Democrats could care less about defeating Al-qaeda, while Republicans would rather spend all of our money shooting at a revolving terrorist target in the desert than put it towards something useful.

McCain is a great Republican senator, keep him there.

I wonder how that “genius” feels after getting bitch-slapped by an 85 year old man?

    Thank you, Bob Dole!…

Bob Dole has more class in his wooden arm than Scott McClellan has in his whole being.

woofie, you actually want 2 comedians as your “authoritative” sources? Thats weak and pathetic, even for your America hating ass.

    Alright Bob Dole.

    BB,

1996? Where was that passion when Dole was Minority Leader in the Senate? Maybe its the Viagra!?

He was actually majority leader at the time, and was running for president against a chap named “Clinton.” Remember?

    Or maybe that’s why you don’t. :^)

  • http://Tifosi1F1.blogspot.com/ Chris Brownell

Delphic Oracle? How funny is that! Well said. What I love is how the left just buys this crap and takes it to heart.

What was Scott doing before this book? Were his services as a communicator in high demand before the ghost writer penned this for him? I don’t think so. He, I believe needed the money. He will enjoy the fawning of the press for a week or two, then he will fade as his bold assertions, his fallacies with his name on them are discovered to be a bunch of sour grapes (flies included). So while the left thinks they have something, and the moon bats think they have found proof of the president being an “incompetent liar” enjoy your weekend, knowing that it takes a special kind of duech bag to piss off Bob Dole so much he gives you a proverbial bitch slap in the press.

“mygodyouredumb” AKA “dannyboy” spews, Scotty Mac is learning that the last thing the Republicans want to hear is the truth.

And you believe Scott McClellan now, why? He’s changed his story and now he all of a sudden tells “the truth”?

Can you give a coherent and logical argument to support your view?*

    *Rhetorical question. You obviously can’t.

  • Bat One

    BB,

Actually, Dole was Senate Minority Leader from 1987 to 1995.

As for McClellan, Trace Gallgher noted this evening that at today’s prices, the $75,000 Scott reportedly got as an advance works out to the equivalent of 30 pieces of silver.

    Stephen Colbert:

These are shocking revelations — in that it is shocking that Scott McClellan thinks these are revelations.
