As some of you know the folks over at Gather recruited me a few months back to post over at their new community site. At that time the site was in beta mode, but just recently they’ve launched and are putting some ads into circulation.
For some dumb reason, I was one of the people chosen to be in the ads. I like to think that its because of my dazzling insight and sharp wit, but its probably more because of my stunning, ruggedly-handsome looks.
Sigh…this face is a curse.
I’m kidding. Well, it is a curse, but not like that.
Anyway, here’s what the ad looks like:

Not too bad, I guess. I’m actually pretty shy and am not too keen on seeing pictures of myself get a lot of attention. I wouldn’t have agreed to do these ads had my mom and girlfriend not encouraged me to do it.
This one is currently running over at Professor Bainbridge’s site, but you’ll probably see them a lot of other places too. I actually didn’t even know they were running yet until Say Anything reader/contributor Sphagnum tipped me over at his blog.

I've emailed them to fix it. Hopefully they will.

I'm sorry if I appeared pedantic, but I'd hate for people to avoid coming to this site–believing it to be of poor quality–just due to a small grammatic error they saw in an advertisement for it.

Yeah, Gather actually called me about that ad to make sure it was ok before they ran it since its sort of calling out the rank and file over there. I told them it was ok. All in fun.

I told them to correct that grammar error you pointed out, but they still haven't. Which is sort of aggravating.
