I don’t know about this. While I don’t think it’s exactly appropriate for a father to buy his daughter a vibrator (probably what it was), I don’t like the state coming in and telling him that he can’t do that.

I wonder if there would even be a case if the father were to give his son a nudie magazine (not an uncommon practice). I also wonder what they would say if it were the mother who was the one who gave her daughter the vibrator.

Someone alert the authorities. It seems that little girls can’t get enough of the Harry Potter “Nimbus 2000” vibrating broomstick. Gee, I wonder why…

The same 13 year old daughter probably gets free condoms from the nurse’s office at school like my son did when he was in the 7th and 8th grades. They didn’t ask me if he could have them. He, of course, along with his friends, male and female, assumed that the school was giving him permission to have sex. This might also cause a father without his bolts torqued down to assume that it was OK to provide his child with other sex toys.

Fortunately, to the best of my knowledge, my son and his buddies decided to have water-balloon fights with the condoms at school instead. I received a furious call from the Principal informing me, among other things, while insinuating that I was a bad father, that that was not what the condoms were intended for. I told her that I would make sure that he only used the condoms for their intended purpose from that point on. Some one, I won’t say who, filled several of the condoms with helium, painted smiley faces on them, and released them all over town. A squad car was seen trying to run a number of them down.

Its too bad for you guys that this guy wasn’t an Indian...then you could blame it on the decay of the reservation community and the need to abolish the reservation system.

Regarding Kade’s comment that’s just proof that many of the natives that have been visiting are looking for something to be upset about. And they often are trying to provoke a response that they can get upset about too.

What’s going to happen to US industry when the global warming extremists like John McCain double the price of electricity?  I would think all these factories will close and set up in countries where they aren’t scared of technology.

Kevin, you took the quote out of context. The perspective thing was directed to the first comment from some creep.

Likwidshoe a father giving a child an adult magazine should be reported. It is in appropriate and damaging to the child. Not some retarded right of passage.

The kids have hopefully been removed from the home for the other violations, and the parents will get to go to parenting school and should be treated like social pariahs. I am willing to bet that there will be more charges filed in this case, as the children enter the child protection services of the state.

This action by the state would probably be more effective if they could also outlaw the sexual urges a 13 year old gets.  Lord knows, without a “toy”, no 13 year old ever experimented with sex.  EVER.  Whew, dodged that bullet, huh ?

Since it’s not all that uncommon for kids to lose their virginity at 14, you think it might be smarter for the parents to encourage the kid to satisfy those urges ALONE ?  Or does that also fit under the moronic umbrella of “abstinence” ?
