Yes, South park did do an Irwin thing–Satan threw a Halloween party and said to a guest that it was in poor taste to come dressed as Steve Irwin because it was just too soon. Of course, because Satan is such a putz he didn’t realize he was saying it to the “real” Irwin.

Sphag–yeah that was the one. I posted my comment before actually reading all the comments. I sometimes do an odd thing where I read the comments in reverse (from newest to oldest), I realized after I posted that it was somewhat redundant.

Either the South Park guys are very clever and subtle, or very overt and ignorant. I’d put my money on the former.

Seriously, what if his family were out on halloween and saw someone dressed like that.

They’d be offended and call him an ass probably, but he didn’t wear it to a family function or something. Just because someone is going to be offended by something doesn’t necessarily make it wrong. Since I don’t know Steve Erwin, and since he died such an unusual/odd death, this doesn’t really offend me much…

I got one to beat it! Saw an idiot dressed as an Amish girl with a bullet hole in the forehead. How is that for callous and offensive. And yes, it was here in PA and aforementioned idiot was shown the door.

maher IS an ass.  His religious beliefs are his own choice, and nodody else’s business.  And everyone else can believe whatever they want.  He’s not an ass because of his religious beliefs. He’s just an arrogant, disrespectful ass.
