Biden: Stimulus Spending Wasn’t Sold On Keeping Unemployment Low

Here’s an interesting exchange between Vice President Biden and MSNBC’s Dick Gregory, who is showing a rather shocking (for an MSNBC employee) lack of deference. Pay particular attention at the beginning to Biden’s assertion that the “stimulus” spending spree wasn’t sold on keeping unemployment low:

Biden claims that the “stimulus” spending spree was never sold on keeping unemployment under 8%. Yet here’s a (now-infamous) graph from a report issued by chief Obama economist Christine Romer indicating what unemployment would be without the “stimulus” spending spree (light blue line) and what it would be with the “stimulus” spending spree (dark blue line). Note that the latter curve peaks out just under 8%:

Clearly, the Obama administration was trying to give the impression that the “stimulus” spending spree would keep unemployment under 8%. And now, because they’ve failed miserably per the updates in red on the graph which indicate where unemployment has actually gone, they’re trying to revise history.
Because Obama and his people think we’re stupid.

I recall Obama saying things were likely to get worse and not turn around for a while. But you stems think he can work miracles to repair the damage done by your side. I pay all my taxes annually and on time and hope they will be wisely used. To the extent that they protect our nation, improve our infrastructure, provide student financial aid and help folks genuinely in need, I am grateful.

One of Obama's selling points for his political payoff debt multiplying bill was that it would keep unemployment at 8%; he lied, and Biden is lying, as well.
Of course, if you know economics, you know that no amount of govt spending can create economic growth. That takes putting privately owned and controlled capital at risk at a profit. There is no other way. That creates the real jobs, the real economic growth, and is the only cure for this Dem social engineering-caused recession.
Obama is going in the wrong direction, so of course things are getting worse. Nothing he is doing will make things better.
All wealth is generated by the private sector, and the more money the greedy govt drains from the private sector through taxes, the less prosperity we have.
Wasteful Dem social spending has been draining capital from the private sector since FDR in the Thirties. That's over seventy years of going in the wrong direction.

Why is anyone continuing to actually discuss and argue points with Dino? He's repeatedly shown himself incapable of contiguous argument, incapable of rationality, and pathologically given to non-sequitur responses and behaviors. On top of this he regularly refers to himself in the third person. Hannah does the same thing quite often. Both derail threads entirely by dragging people into arguments against them when they are not actually arguing back.
