Berg To Hold Six Town Halls In August
Despite liberal operatives attempting, and not succeeding very well, to flood Rep. Rick Berg’s town halls with protesters he’s sticking to his commitment to hold open venues for his constituents. Which makes him the only statewide elected leader in the state to be holding open forums where constituents and come and ask questions directly.
Whatever you may think of Berg’s performance in Congress, he deserves a measure of credit for that, though I’ll repeat my previous criticism of his town halls. Why are they always during the day? More people could come if they were in the evenings.
Here’s his press release:

Washington, D.C. – Congressman Rick Berg today announced that he will hold six town halls in North Dakota during the first two weeks of August to allow North Dakotans the opportunity to bring their questions and concerns to Berg in an open forum.
“Washington isn’t just broke – it’s broken, and that is because too many politicians are looking to Washington for solutions. Washington isn’t the solution—Washington is the problem. As we work together through the historic challenges ahead, I am committed to listening to North Dakotans and making sure Washington works more like North Dakota,” Berg stated. “This is North Dakota’s seat and I look forward to an open, honest and unfiltered discussion about the solutions and ideas we need to get our country back on track.”
Berg is scheduled to hold town halls in Dickinson, Williston, Minot, Bismarck, Fargo, and Grand Forks. A preliminary schedule is below:
Thursday, August 4
Dickinson – A Brown Bag Lunch with Berg
Badlands Activities Center
Dickinson State University
398 State Ave.
Williston Community Library
1302 Davidson Dr.
Friday, August 5
Minot – A Brown Bag Lunch with Berg
Grand International Inn
1505 N Broadway
Town halls in Bismarck, Fargo, and Grand Forks are expected to be held during the week of August 8. Exact dates, times and locations are forthcoming.
