Berg: It’s Time To Audit The Fed
The Rick Berg campaign just sent out the press release below expressing support for the Federal Reserve Transparency Act, which ought to make our friends in the Ron Paul movement happy.
It’s somewhat surprising to see how mainstream the “audit the fed” movement has become. Just a few years ago many would have described the push for an audit as a holy grail pursued by fringe elements. Today auditing the fed is something most Republicans support. In fact, it just passed the House with a bi-partisan majority.
We’ll see how many teeth this audit really has, and what the willingness is among Republicans (let alone Democrats) to actually do something about it.
