The state of Alaska is roughly 12 times the size of Arkansas.  Does that mean that the Alaska Governor is 12 times more qualified than one from Arkansas?

Arkansas has a population roughly 4 times that of Alaska.  Does that mean the Governor of Arkansas is 4 times more qualified?

Let’s see:  There’s all that untapped oil and gas in Alaska - that covers energy policy.  There’s Alaska’s proximity to an increasingly hostile Russia across the Bering - that covers international affairs and foreign policy.

Can you give me an example of one decision that Palin has made based on Russia being across the Bering sea to Alaska.  Obviously the US doesn’t even consider it much of a threat since Alaska has one of the smallest National Guard units in the nation at approximately 4,200 troops.  National security experience based on Alaska being close to Russia is an absurd talking point.

Arkansas in the late 1980’s had 4 times the population of Alaska right now. Besides that he was a Governor for 12 years!

C’mon, somebody explain to me how being in proximity to a land mass creates intelligence of foreign policy. This I have heard from a Republican and would like an explanation. Too funny!
