Barbie Is A Jew
In yet another display of their towering enlightenment the United Arab Emirates, acting through its Committee for the Propagation of Virtue and Prevention of Vice (a/k/a the Party Poopers), have banned what they're calling the "Jewish" Barbie doll. They deemed the doll a threat to morality due to her revealing clothing.
"Jewish Barbie dolls, with their revealing clothes and shameful postures, accessories and tools are a symbol of decadence to the perverted West. Let us beware of her dangers and be careful."
Shameful postures? Revealing clothes? I'll be nice and spot them the "revealing clothes" point, but shameful positions? The shame is in the eye of the beholder. I can just imagine a bunch of robed officials in a room bending a couple of dolls into obscene positions and then looking away lest their morality be threatened. Are we sure that these officials aren't just a bunch of sickos? Last time I checked my daughter wasn't spending her time arranging her Barbies into the Clinging Creeper.
And what's with calling Barbie a Jew? Not that it should be taken as an insult, but last time I looked the Barbie line of dolls contained characters from just about all the major races. Barbie even has a World Culture collection. Are these officials so backwards that they now blame anything they find crude or offensive on the Jews? A spokesman for for the Party-Pooper Brigade went on to claim that the original Barbie doll was based on a real-life Jewish woman. I was under the impression that the Barbie doll was invented by a mother who wanted to give her daughter a "grown-up" version of a doll. Apparently the learned members of the Party-Pooper Brigade have access to a library of information far outreaching my own.
Sheik Abdulla al-Merdas also weighed in on the topic:
"It is no problem that little girls play with dolls. But these dolls should not have the developed body of a woman and wear revealing clothes. These revealing clothes will be imprinted in their minds and they will refuse to wear the clothes we are used to as Muslims."
Ok, to me it sounds like he's saying that showing these little girls what their bodies will look like down the road is bad because they will not want to submit to hiding them later in life.
How is the United States still allied with this country? So far, just in this article, we're seeing rampid racism and an outright effort to repress women. I'm sure none if this is news to you, but it absolutely astounds me.
But that's just me, a proud member of the decadent and perverted West.
