Barack Obama On SNL

Meh…

The stuff leading up to Obama’s appearance was pretty good, if cookie-cutter.  Hillary is a smarmy...witch.  Bill is a womanizing rake.  Etc., etc.  The part with Bill Richardson dressed up as Al Gore and sucking up for a VP spot was pretty funny, though.

But when Obama appeared, took off the mask, paused for the applause, and then delivered that line about being himself for Halloween because he has “nothing to hide” it came off with all the charm and charisma of a second-rate city council race campaign commercial.

It was cheesy.

I think this was meant to be Obama’s “saxophone moment,” but he didn’t pull it off.
