First, Obama is NOT a dual citizen. There are some wing nuts out there trying to spread this rumor but that dog wont hunt. He’s never been qualified to be a citizen of Kenya.

As Section 90 of the Constitution of Kenya states that:-

A Person born outside Kenya AFTER (emphasis added) 11th December, 1963 shall become a citizen of Kenya at the date of his/her birth if at that date his/her father was a citizen of Kenya.

Do the math, Obama was born in 1961, making him unqualified for citizenship under this law. See for yourself:

The Kenya Constitution Section 97 (1) (6) (a) states that:

Any person who, upon the attainment of the age of twenty-one years, is a citizen of Kenya and also a citizen of another country other than Kenya shall cease to be a citizen of Kenya upon the specified date (6)(a) that is: twenty-three (23) years.

Even if at some point Obama’s father applied for citizenship for him (which has never been suggested or shown to be true), he would have lost it at age 23, since he was born in the U.S.

Let the wing nuts play their rumor games, but McCain is not going to make it in 2008, and will crash just like “Mr. Viagra” Bob Dole crashed in 1996. I should know, I was on McCain’s delegate list in 2000.

He may be a Kenya resident, but Barack Hussein Obama has never submitted proof he is an American citizen. A fraudulent birth certificate has been posted on his Fight the Smears website. It is not certified by the state of Hawaii with the state’s official seal and registrar’s signature. So I seriously doubt he is a U.S. citizen or legally qualified to run for President. Obama’s campaign will not respond to multiple requests for him to submit an official birth certificate. If he had one, I would think he would put this to rest once and for all.

Is that because he is a Republican, White or it was a “western country”?  That makes him ok to run an entire state, because he is so “American”.  I guess the definition of being American is basically, white and republican.

There is little doubt that racism, at least as most people would define the term, does exist in this country.  But to say that questions of Barack Obama are racist, and to do so comparing the circumstances of his birth to those of either McCain or Arnold Schwarzenegger is just plain stupid, and totally unworthy of any credence whatsoever.

Governor Schwarzenegger is a former Austrian citizen who came to this country as a legal immigrant, became a US citizen and made a huge success of himself.  Neither the US Constitution nor the California state constitution contains an restriction on such an individual serving as that state’s Governor.  So using him as a focal point of your specious comparison is bogus, and again, unworthy of any serious consideration by anyone.

As for the young Mr. Obama, the “birth certificate” copy posted on the internet is apparently not genuine, although to be fair that document was not released by either Obama or his campaign staff.  On the other hand, he has not released a real birth certificate either (of course, John Kerry never released all his military records as he promised on numerous occasions!).

Those of you on the Left are going to have to get beyond the notion that everything that you find disagreeable, offensive, inconvenient or unfair is the result of White, conservative racism.  In case you haven’t been paying attention, your boy candidate has spent the past year and a half trumpeting the “fact” that he is a “post-racial”, “post-partisan” candidate.  Yet his campaign and his supporters behave as though these assertions are really just so much leftist bullshit.  Meanwhile, his poll numbers continue their steady decline.

Dear Lord, where to begin with you?

Okay, first, I have not attacked you as you claim.  Certainly not to the extent of calling you a “JERK” or a “CLOSED MINDED FOOL” or “RETARD” or any other such names as you have done.  Or had you forgotten about that?  Here’s a suggestion.  Dial back on the ad hominem... that’s name calling.  There are times when it is sparingly appropriate, but like alcohol or pot, it can easily become a crutch, and loses its effectiveness with overuse.  Learn to be a little bit creative with your insults.  Someone who has lived in 5 countries and visited “dozens more” should be far more literate than what you’ve demonstrated here… especially with so broad a range of experiences to draw on.  Simplistic name-calling is so pedestrian.

Nor have I said that your opinions don’t matter.  They’re pretty much wrong, its true, but that doesn’t mean they don’t matter.  To you, obviously, they matter.  But understand that if you are going to express those opinions publicly in a forum such as this, it would be foolish not to expect them to be challenged.  You have every right to hold and express your opinions, as do we all.  But there is no right to an audience, and certainly not an agreeable one.  If that doesn’t suit you, perhaps the DailyKos would be more your speed.  They would certainly be more ideologically agreeable (they don’t seem to care much that socialism is a proven failure), nor are they concerned if your comments aren’t especially literate or well thought out.

The only issue you’ve brought up was the question of Mr. Schwartzenegger and his qualification to “represent the American people” due to his foreign birth and upbringing.  Of course, he is constitutionally banned from representing the American people, as the Presidency is reserved for natural born citizens, but as I pointed out he seems to have done well with the people of California, so your “issue” is really a non-issue, or if you prefer, moot.

Finally, again, racism.  The easy answer is that I really don’t care.  Most such accusations and discussions are without any serious foundation and consequently boring.  But beside that, Obama has declared himself a “post-racial candidate.”  Now, like quite nearly everything else he’s stated, that is unadulterated, weapons-grade bullshit, but in this one instance I prefer to risk taking him at his word.

andrea, just a little facts would help you out.  I collected stamps as a youngster.  I still have some from the Panama Canal Zone.  Yes, it was given away by Jimmy.
