Barack Obama Flip-Flops On DC Gun Ban

First Obama, who would have us believe that he’s a constitutional law scholar, tells us that the DC gun ban is part of a constitutional effort to control gun ownership. Then, after the Supreme court struck down the DC gun ban as being unconstitutional, he tries to tell us that he never said any such thing.


That Obama feels like he can engage in such blatant, well, lying on the public speech speaks to his arrogance, his confidence in the liberal media’s willingness to cover for him and his rather low opinion of the intelligence of the American public.

    It would help if you provided a tape from November of Obama actually saying, “The DC gun ban is constitutional.” If you had that, then you could legitimately say that Obama misspoke. Instead, you’ve provided a tape of him in February failing to argue with a reporter who said it.

    What your tape actually shows is Obama taking a consistent position over time: that the 2nd amendment provides a right to individual gun ownership, but does not preclude some regulation of gun ownership.

    Jimmy, I know you don’t like it when your messiah gets caught being stupid, but do try actually watching the tape. Obama nods his assent when the reporter asks the question.

    Recently one talk show host was going through all of the obama flip flops and he has basically already surpased Kerry on flipping and flopping all over the place.

    I hate to say it but I think he has that right concerning the American publc, at least for the majority. He can also count on the conservative disatisfaction with McCain. Seems he has a lot going for him. I guess we’ll find out how deep this is in November.
