Barack Obama Donated $22,500 To Rev. Wright’s Church

A significant donation to a church organization that regularly preaches that 9/11 was America’s fault and that HIV was developed in a plot by “whitey” to kill off blacks.

But this won’t be an issue for Obama.  Of course, if John McCain had given tens of thousands of dollars to the Westboro Baptist Church (which preaches that 9/11 was America’s fault and that HIV is God’s punishment for homosexuals) it’d be enough of a controversy to drive him out of the race.

Aren’t double standards lovely?

Your pithy argument is, I guess, your attempt to argue that the media has given Obama a pass on this?

My God, you’re crazier than I thought.

John Hagee:

I believe that New Orleans had a level of sin that was offensive to God, and they are—were recipients of the judgment of God for that. The newspaper carried the story in our local area that was not carried nationally that there was to be a homosexual parade there on the Monday that the Katrina came. And the promise of that parade was that it was going to reach a level of sexuality never demonstrated before in any of the other Gay Pride parades.

John McCain actively sought this man’s endorsement. You’re right, Rob: Double-standards are lovely.

Did he say that?

The majority of the Democrats have given him a pass on this.

My God, you’re crazier than I thought.

You’re calling Rob crazy on something he never said. My God todd, you’re stupider than I had thought.

He wrote

So, in your view, it’s more likely that the controversy he was implying was more likely to be created by the Democrats, not the media? Right.

That means Republicans would drive him out of the race. It does indeed imply that Democrats (not the media) are giving Obama a pass.

Todd: It is your obligation to establish equivalence between a candidate accepting or even seeking an endorsement from a Christian minister, even if you consider his message intemperate and wrong; and a candidate investing 20 years of his life under the teaching of a minister that routinely expresses hatred for America and white people, a minister that married Obama and his wife, baptized their children and a minister he called a mentor. I don’t see any equivalence of any kind.

The Rev. Wright used Mr. Obama’s generous donation to pay for the U.C.C. annual 9/11 Twin Towers BBQ Picnic, and to support their “Find A Cure For The White Man’s AIDS” ice cream socials.

Todd: Since both democrat candidates have been caught in several major gaffs and given scant scrutiny by the MSM, it will be up to J.Q. Public to render the final verdict in November.

Rob is exactly right. If this had been McCain it would have been hammered on for days on end in glaring headlines and commentary by the liberal media.

What do you mean “if”? It has been McCain (with Hagee taking Wright’s role) and the media hasn’t said a damn word.

We don’t need hypotheticals here. McCain gets a pass for seeking Hagee’s endorsement because the media’s been fellating him for the past 15 years. “Hammered on for days on end in glaring headlines”? More like a endless fawning for the ‘no nonsense straight-talker’.

Good God, how can you look at yourself in the mirror? You’re not even pretending to be honest--you just keep lying and lying.

“Regularly” preaches that 9/11 was America’s fault. For crying out loud, Rob, where’s your integrity? If Obama’s as bad a candidate as you beleive, you think you could denounce his candidacy without blatant falsehoods like this.

I love how Obigot is getting a free pass from the Media and his willfully ignorant Marxist followers. If a Republican was to be involved, it would be front page for a year not ignored for a year like this has been. This Rev was exposed by Sean Hannity in April of LAST YEAR, but until the Clintons pushed it out there it was ignored by the Parrot Press, and the rest of the Main Stream Media. Personally I could care less about his views of “Whitey” or Obigot’s hatred of America He has a right to both. My reason for despising him is that every one of his platforms are straight out of Karl Marx’s Communist Manifesto
From Wealth redistribution to Universal Health care. Until he changes from that I will continue to oppose him. I refuse to be part of his “collective” I am not paying for someone else’s bad behavior via a national health care plan.

Those who think the party or the country, will be “taught a lesson” by handing the levers of power over to the liberals will learn a lesson, but it will be at the expense of our country and her liberties. And there are no guarantees that the party or the country will come out stronger, more conservative or better positioned to win elections against the incumbent liberals.

Your double-standards are embarassing at this point. John McCain actively seeks out the endorsement of a man who blames Hurricane Katrina on homosexuals--reiterating that he is very proud to have your support--and you just look the other way. So fucking typical.

That is a deliberate obfuscation! McCain may have sought Hagee’s endorsement of his candidacy to help secure evangelical votes; however Osamabama is a long term disciple of Wright’s anti-American, racist ideology. This is not apples and oranges, it is piss ants on a donkey’s ass compared to elephants.

You nor Osamabama can wriggle out of the Rev. “I hate Whitey” Wright fiasco. Why? You don’t seem to get the idea that Wright and Osamabama have had a very long term, intimate relationship and by extension Obama has had other close relationships with similar extremists in the so-called African-America community here and abroad. Embrace and defend it if you will, but it will not die, because it is that malignant.

Oh, Osamabama has not repudiated Wright’s endorsement to my knowledge, only some of the alleged, very few, very short comments of Wright being replayed ad-nasuem!

Different by the sum total of $22,000.00?  And you think you have made a piont????

I am beginning to suspect you are deliberately obtuse! It is NOT Wright’s endorsement of Obama that is at issue here, it is a 20-year intimate relationship with Wright by a person that admits Wright was/is his spiritual mentor. Get a freaking clue here Hannitized - it is the long term, intimate, disciple like relationship with a passionate anti-American, racist minister, not a damned endorsement by a man given to extreme statements on occasion.

1.  Senator Obama has been a member of Trinity Curch of Christ for about 20 years.
2.  During that time, he and his wife were married by Rev. Jeremiah Wright and their children were baptized by him.
3.  During the course of his membership, Senator Obama gave the church aprroximately $22,000.
4.  Recently, four videos of Rev. Wrights sermons were made public and caused a stir because of comments he made in them, including this one: “God damn Amercia, God Damn Americe.”
5.  When Senator Obama was asked what he though about Wright’s comments, he first said he was unaware of them and hadn’t heard the.
6.  As pressure mounted, Senator Obama gave a speech last Tuesday in which he said he was aware of Wright’s sermons and that he denounced them, but not the man.

Does this summary seem accurate to you?

The other parts of this recent disclosure is that the poor obamas are in the top 1% of wealth while they wallow in the pitty party of their supposed black experience.  The next is that they contributed about 1% to charity.  Personally, I contributed about 10% of my adjusted gross income, but that is another of his shortcomings.

WRIGHT HAS SO MUCH POWER OF THE FREE SPEECH TO CURSE AMERICA ON THE PULPIT."G D AMERICA.” IF AMERICAN BLACK PREACHERS CONTINUE TO FOLLOW SUCH PREACHING, THEY COULD DESTEBILIZE OUR SOCIETY. OBAMA IS AMERICAN BORN BLACK, NOT FROM SLAVE FAMILY. HIS FATHER HAD FOUR WIVES. BLACK OBAMA WENT HARVARD IN FREE AMERICA FOR EVERYONE WHICH IS DIFFERENT THAN THE REV. WRIGHT’S GENERATION.

HILLARY WILL WIN and can give more free opportunities to the minorities. SEND STRONG MESSAGES TO THE PEOPLE TO RESCUE AMERICA.!! SHE IS FREE TO SPEAK TO THE PEOPLE IN JUST TONES AS MUCH AS REV. WRIGHT IS FREE TO CURSE AMERICA ON THE PULPIT.  THE BIBLE IS NOT KORAN.
