Backstabber McCain to Advance Amnesty

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Remember during the primaries when John McCain said that he wouldn’t support amnesty until we had secured the border. He said that he hat “gotten the message.”
Of course some of us that thought he was lying through his teeth were told that no, he said it and he’s a man of honor.
I guess we now have an idea of who was right.

On immigration, there’s been an agreement between (President-elect Barack) Obama and (Arizona Republican Sen. John) McCain to move forward on that.

If it was anyone but Harry Reid saying this I’d figure that yeah, this is a done deal; McCain’s stabbed us in the back. With Reid I have to look out the window when he says the suns out.
But I have to think that this is in the bag. As predicted by many, McCain was going to make amnesty one of his first priorities in 2009 whether or not he won the election.

There is still the little problem of about 80% of the American people do not support AMNESTY in any form.

Yet the clowns in the House and Senate keep pushing for it.
When they bring this to bear we need to start calling and writing senators and congressmen/women. We need to flood the capital and let them know this is not ACCEPTABLE.

Yeah, like all those pro-life Dems who get to speak at the Dem national convention.

    Ollie,

Kinda like the way the left has treated Lieberman, huh, Ollie??? The libs just love dissent.

He’s still part of the Democratic caucus, he still has his committee chair. In short, the Democrats didn’t really do anything to him, even though he opposed his own parties candidate. Dissent is a fact of life in the Democratic Party. That’s why you don’t ever hear of someone labeled a “DINO” (Democrat In Name Only).
We (liberals) don’t have a lot of power in the Democratic party, which is why we’re more accepting of dissent, we’re often the ones dissenting.
That said, a little heads up from the far left, Obama is out to to steal your lunch money, and I don’t mean his economic plan. Look at his line-up thus far. The Democrats are moving to electorally strangle the conservative movement by occupying the center. Your swiftly going to be left with a choice between abandoning your beloved movement or becoming the Neo-Whigs. You should have ditched Baby Bush in 04 but the lemming instinct was just too strong, now the bill is due.
It’s sad, because on the fiscal side of the argument, the conservatives make strong points that need to be considered. Perhaps you could use your love of states rights to push your favorite wedge issues off the national agenda and get back to the arguments that make sense among people who aren’t struggling to suppress homo-sexual urges or believe that the government should be run in accordance with the Holy Bible. In short, you have a lot of house cleaning to do, you better get to it.

    goon,

A sizeable fraction of that 80% who oppose shamnesty keep on re-electing folks who defy their stated wishes and vote in favor of shamnesty.

    Shame on the voters.

That is one reason why the word elect is NOT behind his mane. Too many saw through his words of appeasement.

    Pparets,

    You owe me an apology.

Here it is, just like I said it would be.

Having lived in Arizona for most of Mr McCain’s reign there as a Senator, I had the pleasure of being one of his many ignored constituants. This is no surprise, is in fact a prophesy many Arizonans could have made. His service in VietNam aside, the guy is not to be trusted. This is only the first in a long line of betrayals contrary to campaign promises he made…

At least he brought Sarah into a national awareness, I’m only sorry it had to be him to do it…

Who is the best source of budget projections on the cost of opening the borders so the world can file for social security, free education and medical, and get a NINJA mortgage (no income, no job or assets)?

Do you get the feeling no one in the Beltway understands that beneficiaries that haven’t and/or won’t pay their share into the system will bankrupt the country.

  • ollie-B

If John McCain had any sense he would leave the Republican party. He is not appreciated by you unless he walks the straight Republican line. You guys do not suffer dissent by anyone. Maybe that is why you lost.

We (liberals) don’t have a lot of power in the Democratic party…

Evidence of insanity. As far as Lieberman is concerned, he was drummed out of the Party for dissenting on one issue, the Iraq war of liberation, and they ran some moron in his place in Connecticut. Joe had to run on the Independent ticket to get elected. The only reason he is still in the Dem caucus is that they want to institute one-Party rule in Congress, and they need his Senate seat.

    NO AMNESTY! We shall overcome!

So what else must we endure??

It’s so much fun watching my party implode. :-(

Why did we choose him as our nominee in the first place?

    I know I didn’t vote for him.

Oh well, at least he picked Sarah, and we have some new people to look for in the future.
