ATF Confirms That Palin Church Burning Was Arson

Well it was definitely arson, unless someone can fathom another reason why flammable liquid was poured around the church before it caught on fire.

ANCHORAGE, Alaska – An accelerant was poured around the exterior of Gov. Sarah Palin’s church before fire heavily damaged the building, federal investigators said Monday. The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives said the accelerant was poured at several locations around the church, including entrances.
Lab tests will determine the type of substance involved. Possibilities include gasoline, kerosene, diesel fuel or even lamp oil, Agent Nick Starcevic said.

The questions remain: Who? And why?
On a related note, anyone noticing how demure the media seems about this? Can you imagine the outrage if someone had tried to torch Obama’s church in Chicago?

    I’ve heard a few media types suggest that this might have happened because of the church’s “controversial” position on gay marriage.

    Which is odd. I don’t agree with this church on gay marriage, but certainly that position is less controversial than, say, Rev. Wright telling his flock that HIV was created by the US government to kill off black people.
