Assassination? Why, You *Must* Be Talking About Obama

Hillary Clinton said
this
in regard to the drawn-out nature of the Democratic primaries:

My husband did not wrap up the nomination in 1992 until he won the California
primary somewhere in the middle of June, right? We all remember Bobby Kennedy
was assassinated in June in California. I don’t understand it”

So of course Miss Cleo, working for the Obama campaign, used her questionable
psychic powers to interpret this as some kind of attack on Obama. Because he
is black I suppose, never mind that RFK wasn’t African-American – Hillary must
have really been talking in code about Barack Obama. So let’s see . . . all
historical references to Neville Chamberlain are off the table, because they
are really crypto references to Barack Obama, and presumably any future mention
of the assassination of Martin Luther King, Jr. too will invariably be unfair
somehow because, no doubt, they are really talking about Obama.

Obama seems to be taking a page now from the Clinton play book – it’s all about
Barack! Could this guy be any more thin-skinned?

We’re not allowed to make any references to skin.

I don’t understand why Robert Kennedy was assassinated in June either. It could have easily happened in July or August or some other state. Besides, who knows, someone may get shot int the face in a hunting accident or something like Dick Cheney’s hunting partner. Dick Cheney has heart problems himself, who knows when he could go. I’m not saying McCain has heart problems, but hey you never know when you might get hit by a bus or somethin.

I’m sure you’re trying to make a point, Kato.

Maybe you should sober up and try again tomorrow.

I don’t think it was an attack on Obama…but it was a pretty stupid thing to say.

‘I’ll stay in the race because…well, you never know’. Geeze, sounds pretty idiotic to me.

as I was trying to say before I was rudely interrupted, I don’t know why Robert Kennedy was shot in June either. He could easily have been shot in July, August or some other month. Or maybe he could have been shot in Texas, like his brother, oh well, go figure. I mean look at Dick Cheney’s hunting partner getting buckshot in the face. Who could have seen that coming? And Dick got a bad heart. How many times has he been artificially rescusitated? Now, I’m not saying that McCain has a bad ticker, but he was shot down several times. I wouldn’t want to fly on a plane with him or even cross the street at the same time. He could get his by a bus before November.

When I heard about the “furor” that Hillary’s comments caused, I almost couldn’t believe it. More astonishing, I couldn’t believe that the Obama camp felt any need to comment on Hillary. Anyone with any common sense should be able to see the statement in the incontext in which it was said.
This is getting totally out of hand and has been for a while. The media will jump on any little soundbite to create controversy. Did McCain get in on this too?
Can’t wait for November to come. Then I’ll turn my TV back on. After the election. But wait. Maybe not even then. Then they will be bashing the winner every day. Maybe it will be better in digital.
