Are The Chrysler Dealerships Obama’s Shutting Down Owned Exlusively By Republicans?

An (admittedly not exhaustive) review seems to indicate as much.

To quickly review the situation, I took all dealer owners whose names appeared more than once in the list. And, of those who contributed to political campaigns, every single one had donated almost exclusively to GOP candidates. While this isn’t an exhaustive review, it does have some ominous implications if it can be verified.
However, I also found additional research online at Scribd (author unknown), which also appears to point to a highly partisan decision-making process. …
I have thus far found only a single Obama donor (and a minor one at that: $200 from Jeffrey Hunter of Waco, Texas) on the closing list.

That’s pretty damning.
Click through for the full analysis, but at least from this (again, not exhaustive) analysis the closings seem too lopsided to be mere chance.

the real question; what percentage of dealerships are democrat to begin with?

sorry rob, this is a stupid article unless someone can show that 50% of dealers are libs and 50% pubs. my guess…. its 99% pub that own these places, so naturally they be the ones closed.

  • http://sayanythingblog.com/readers/author/realitybasedbob/ realitybasedbob

Well rube, the answer to your headline is of course no.

Approximately 27% of those listed gave to the Dems.

    Nice headline by the way.

  • robert108

Rbb has noticed that R180 has painted himself in a corner. Nope; in his desperate need to lie and deceive, little parrot failed to parrot “everything”. His impotent reply left that out, for his usual cherry-picking and quoting out of context.

Little R180 is left with no position and no principles when he is found to be on both sides of every argument. More lies from you, little H.

  • http://insanereindeer.blogspot.com/ Kenny

I find r108′s insults as an extra beyond his arguments whereas Hannah, Dino, etc. mostly make random provocative statements, engage in insults and catcalling, toss it together and call it a post. What they put together lacks any logical coherence which is entirely in keeping with them being trolls.

Really? You find that calling someone a Lying Greek Faggot adds to the debate? I find endless posts of calling someone a liar without any argument whatsoever tiresome. I find endless personal attacks in lue of debate to be as moronic and childish as anything Dino posts. Robert is as big of a troll as Dino or Man Train.

So I cannot fault him here Kenny. If you insist on going down this road, you’re faced with either realizing you’re wrong and they are trolls or going the other direction and further deceiving yourself that they are actually sincere in which case they’d have to be intellectually and emotionally retarded on a level that amounts to arguing over the fine points of Stoicism with Corky from Life Goes On.

Ellinas, despite being a fool, is sincere in her desire to debate. E just her it’s head up her ass. Calling him/her a faggot is nothing more than Robert pretending he is superior. Rob may be wrong in his drive for gay marriage, but I don’t think any of us doubt his sincerity. You may disagree with me on what I believe, but is there doubt I am arguing what I believe? Neimann? Pparets? Dragon Poker?

All of us have been insulted by Robert for simply taking up positions he disagrees with. Ignoring the common “liar, liar pants, smear” nonsense he always uses, I have also been called: Fascist, Totalitarian, Liberal, Welfare Whore, Faggot, pothead, crackhead, leech, scum, etc for pointing out that his head is firmly affixed up his backside. And these insults replace argument. Even Dino feels the need to make up facts and provide links. Robert, usually doesn’t.

r108 merely acts as if they could be, says what he has to, demolishes what they spout, and it remains exposed ultimately as the nonsense it is. There’s no need really for anyone else to bother as r108 seems to enjoy it.
    They are welcome to it.

However, as pointed out, it’s not relegated to just Dino, Hanni and Boob. It’s anyone he disagrees with at anytime, or, anyone who says something that he misunderstands.

If anything, r108′s constant attempts to argue with them as if they were even involved in the intellectual give and take when they aren’t is at the very least a sentimentality of assumption that they might learn anything. However, their provocative nonsense is designed to annoy and r108 responds perfectly as expected.

Yes, calling someone a Faggot or a pothead is trying to “argue as if they were involved in the intellectual”. Eye roll. Let’s recap here. RBB, for all his faults, posted the first fact in the thread.

Well rube, the answer to your headline is of course no. Approximately 27% of those listed gave to the Dems.
    Nice headline by the way.

He’s right too. The methodology is not only flawed, it’s deceptive. Pointing out that only one person who made more than one donation was a Democrat skews the data. Rob bought it hook line and sinker. 27% of closees (for lack of a better word) were Dem, but the “review” found only one out of hundreds, less than 1%.

Robert responds that 73% proves a bias. (It doesn’t.) And he further claims that the Republican dealers were making money. (Both unproven and leads to the conclusion that the Dems weren’t.) And when called on the fact that he was clueless, he ignored my objections to the data to claim:

Just more lying smear in the absence of any valid argument.

Except there was fact. I raised valid, logical objections. I also called him the biggest ad hominim user on the board, but, as you would say, that’s just extra! I may have my faults, but I don’t “smear” people, and I certainly don’t do drive by snipes with no argument. You might say that his response was, oh, how to fairly call it…

Just more lying smear in the absence of any valid argument.

  • Hannitized

Does anyone here, including Dino, make more ad hominims than you? The average R108 post consists of the words “liar” “moron” “smear” “emotional stake” and some random insult.

    Bingo.

  • brain trust

Instead of punishing republicans, I’m thinking that our dictator’s thought process is more on the line of limiting our choices so it is easier for the government to control our lives.

Saturday’s associated press story reports that the Obama administration is pressuring GM and Chrysler to shed dealerships. Dino, do a little reading you might learn something. Nice pajamas!

  • Hannitized

If this story is true and factual, why isn’t Fox News reporting it? A: Because it has not been proven to be factual yet, and because it is propaganda.

    Robert180,

Let’s have a little test on facts, logic and propaganda.

If this story is true and factual, why isn’t Fox News reporting it? A: Because it has not been proven to be factual yet, and because it is propaganda.

    Rob gets it wrong again.

Two out of four in the first sentence.

    Amazing.

  • http://insanereindeer.blogspot.com/ Kenny

The 73% figure is of the total closings, not some sort of political quota. The real truth is whether any of those closing were making a profit, and how many of those which were closed were making a profit, and owned by Republican contributors.
Even one profitable dealership being closed is evidence of partisan bias.

Yet we don’t know which businesses were profitable, if any.

And if any of the Democrat owned ones were profitable, it shows there is no partisan bias. You don’t have enough facts to prove your case, but you just keep chugging along.

guess you don’t know what ad hominem means, Kenny.
It is an argument based solely on personal attack, with no other supporting information.
I have already explained to you how the lying greek faggot earned his name. It’s factual, and therefore, not an ad hominem.

Ad hominim means personal attack. It may be factual, but it’s still an attack. For example, if you stink because you never take a bath, it doesn’t mean that it’s not an ad hominim to call you a stinky bastard (even if your parents are unmarried). Factual doesn’t even enter in. Moreover, you use slurs like faggot when not even discussing homosexuality. Ellinas’ sexuality is irrelevant to almost any issue. And it’s still a slur. You argue the person, not the argument.

Just more lying smear in the absence of any valid argument.

So to prove me wrong, you use most of the words I said you use. What a twit.

Your cherry-pick leaves out all the supporting evidence I cite, and so is massively dishonest.
BTW, “emotional stake” is not an ad hominem. I disagreed with Rob on his failure to provide any affirmative argument for his position, then using lying smear to justify his refusal to furnish an argument. His responses to me on certain subjects are purely emotional, and I call him on that fact, along with all the rest of you who are unable to discuss rationally, factually and logically.
    That includes you, Kenny.
Your entire rant was just one long ad hominem, which makes you a hypocrite.

Other than calling me a liar over and over, you have nothing here. Saying that you use ad hominims is not an ad hominim as it is relevant to the debate and is arguing AGAINST your argument. Just keep screaming “stupid face! lying stupid face!” and hope that I stop calling you on bullshit.

  • crshedd

    simple question.

what percentage of car dealership owners nation wide are republican?

That’s such piss poor logic. How many dealerships are owned by Republicans? If it’s 25%, then yea, Republicans are being targeted. If it’s 70-80%, then the 73% figure is just right. If it’s even higher, then Republicans are being statisically underrepresented on these closings.

The 73% figure is of the total closings, not some sort of political quota. The real truth is whether any of those closing were making a profit, and how many of those which were closed were making a profit, and owned by Republican contributors.
