Are McCain And Palin “Sowing The Seeds Of Hate?”

There’s a lot of press right now about Rep. John Lewis, a Democrat John McCain has gone out of his way to praise in the past, suggesting that the McCain/Palin campaign is “sowing the seeds of hate” by bringing up Obama’s connections to radicals like William Ayers and Jeremiah Wright.

This is, in my estimation, an oblique way of playing the race card.  The suggestion here is that by going after Obama’s character and judgment by talking about the people he chose to associate himself with you ask people to “hate” Obama.  I think that’s bogus.

Certainly McCain and Palin don’t want to endear Obama to voters, but there is a difference between making the case for why voters should be uncomfortable with Obama being their leader and asking them to hate him.

This is a bit of spin the media is pushing pretty hard.  Yesterday the media essentially fabricated a story about McCain getting booed by a crowd after he told a lady in front of that crowd that Obama isn’t an Arab.  The suggestion being that the crowd is so whipped up with hatred for Obama that they’re willing to believe anything (including fabrications about his race).  But the truth is that the crowd didn’t boo McCain when he told that misguided crank that Obama wasn’t an Arab.  They applauded him, and only booed him later when he said that there was no reason to be afraid of an Obama Presidency (taxpayers have plenty to be afraid of).

But what’s curious to me is that the media never seems concerned about “sowing the seeds of hate” when liberals are accusing conservatives of wanting poor people to starve when the conservatives want to reform welfare.  You never hear a word about “hatred” when liberals accuse conservatives of not wanting the poor and minorities to vote when conservatives suggest that voter ID laws might be a good idea.

“Sowing hatred” is never invoked as a motivation when liberals are accusing conservatives of not wanting children to get health care when conservatives oppose the expansion of health entitlements.

Isn’t that an interesting double standard?  Perfectly legitimate questions about Obama’s past personal and professional affiliations raise questions about “sowing hatred,” but liberals characterizing conservative motivations on a myriad of policy fronts as being “racist” or “sexist” or “selfish” or “uncaring” almost never gets challenged by anyone but conservatives.

But it is ok for Obama to use the Hoodwinked and Bamboozled lines from Malcolm X. The same ones he got called on before. The same ones he used against Hillary. hmmmm.

more important is obama sowing the seeds of victory in november by buying the election through voter fraud via acorn.

I think there is some confusion here. As far as I can tell, it is not the questions of Obama’s associations that are causing people to question the Republican nominees’ motives but the fact that their supporters are yelling things such as “Terrorist”, “Kill him” and “Off with his head” during their rallies without so much as a frown of disapproval from either McCain or Palin.

Edmund Burke once said that All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing. Standing by silent while someone yells for the death of another is the same as condoning the action. Whether they really do or not, I cannot say. I’m not in John McCain’s or Sarah Palin’s head. All I can do is repeat another wise sentiment said by Ralph Waldo Emerson:

What you do speaks so loudly that I cannot hear what you say.

Food for thought.

This issue gets so tiring. The constant insistence that everything a white does, can and will be, portrayed as a racist act with a malicious intent.

For myself, it has become both angering and boorish.

I would argue that the race-card is very near being overplayed.

I listen a lot while in public places. What I am hearing is the same growing frustration with this issue. [I am in the great plains region]

It is interesting to listen to the intimidation this beleaguers weak-spirited, metropolitan whites. They express overt guilt and fear.

Then on the flip side, other whites are murmuring about the tiresome nature of these inferences of racism. This is frustration, quickly becoming anger.

When a candidate has admitted being a supporter of a racist (Louis Farakahn), how is he allowed to just get a free pass from it being reported on in depth.

This incessant use of the race card is classic psychological projection. Accuse others of your own short comings as justification, but be vile about it.

One would think that being 13-15% of the population would encourage any ethnic group to cooperate and participate in strengthening their own situation.

Instead of this, the leftist movement encourages negative behavior. The Democrat party continuously uses them as a tool to retain power, and they continue to allow themselves to be used in that fashion.

People fail to realize government entitlement programs, special preferences, and welfare programs are nothing more than social-crack used by the left to keep blacks “on their plantation”. These are by nature bad, for any social/ethnic group, economic shackles that leave you obligated to the party that provides the greater availability to these.

I can foresee the potential for a coming fire-storm that has been lit by these cultist-like Obama supporters. It is not pretty and it is growing.

The minions at the MSM, ACORN, NAACP, The Urban League, New Black Panthers, Nation of Islam, etc., have been droning their vitriolic sewage in ever growing dimensions.

With the blacks, most arguments usually come down to race. They are encouraged to act out as if it is an obligation of every white to respond and accept their point of view. Whites are automatically racist if they do not.

Imagine if whites were to act in the same fashion....

"Are McCain And Palin “Sowing The Seeds Of Hate?”

No, this crop was planted by Democrats, over and over, for the last 50 years.

The MSM and the liberals have planted the seeds for which we all are experiencing a bountiful crop of Socialism.

wonder if America is ready for a black president, or will it show the true racial legacy of the icemans inheritance

Rick Warren: Who are the three wisest people you know in your life and who are you going to rely heavily in your administration?

John McCain: …I think John Lewis. John Lewis was at the Edmund Pettus Bridge. Had his skull fractured. Continues to serve. Continues to have the most optimistic outlook about America. He can teach us all a lot about the meaning of courage and commitment to causes greater than ourself.

Excuse me, you were saying?

Gee, if I am not mistaken I posted this story in the reader blogs yesterday. Hmmm!

The Left is quite good at using terms like racism, hate speech and similar terminology to silence all debate. They have in this election cycle used it to good effect to silence McCain, he is afraid to speak to important, key issues for fear of causing a backlash, not understanding that his timidity makes any even superficial remarks about these issues by him appear even more in line with the accusations than had he boldly took on the issues and refused to be cowed into silence.

I was wrong, I thought I had posted this story, but I chose another one on the same general topic instead. But, having intended to post it, my memory played tricks on me. Sorry!

During the seventies, eighties and nineties, I lived in Atlanta.

This person, at times can be as idiotic as Cynthia McKinney.

All he is missing during his fits of ignorance, is her oratory skills and the “Buckwheat” hairdo.

So now, this morning, we are being compared to George Wallace [Fox News reporting]....

This ought to shut us up...... I mean show us the error of our way....  how uppity of us… SHEESH!!

Just imagine, Cynthia McKinney will be the new assistant secretary of education.... under Bill Ayers…

At least it ought to be entertaining, in a massively destructive way......

Ralph Waldo Emerson’s wise saying,

What you do speaks so loudly that I cannot hear what you say.

is precisely the point those of us on/in The Right have been making about young Mr. Obama’s past associations… his spoken denials not withstanding.

“Poverty of goods is easily cured; poverty of the mind is irreparable.”

"Sowing the seeds of hate” is liberal-speak. Translated, it means, “they’re getting the best of us and we’re scared.”

John Lewis is edging into the territory that Jesse Jackson used to own.

“You are white...you are white… you are a conservative...Republican.... you disagree with me… You be a racist…

The algorithm of of Jesse Jackson/John Lewis politics does not get any more complicated than that.

Eneils Bailey on October 12, 2008 at 09:07 am

I love how leftards use the fact that McC is in bed with anti-American Democrat politicians as fodder for Democrats not to vote for him. Even though every position McC takes is mainline Democrat. Funny, huh?

Listen to John Lewis in this commercial from 2006, he states your life could be in trouble if you vote Republican.
