Another Zarqawi Rumor

Zarqawi has reportedly been captured. Again. This time near the Syrian border.

Al Bawaba – Reports in Kuwait on Friday said a man assumed to be Al Qaeda leader in Iraq, Abu Musab Zarqawi has been captured near the Syrian border.
Zarqawi, whose Tawhid and Jihad group has claimed responsibility for numerous attacks in Iraq, was captured during a joint operation by US forces and Iraqi police, Al Siyasah newspaper, quoting informed Iraqi sources, said Friday.

This sounds suspiciously similar to the report we got yesterday. So far its not being reported in any major U.S. media. I’m not sure if these are rumors still circulating from the previously denied report or if this is based on new information. Here are the links to the coverage I can find so far:

Like I said before, this story is similar to the earlier report so I’m not sure if its true or not.
Let’s just hope that it is.
Update:
Denied. Again.

Capturing or killing Zargawi or even Bin Laden *(The Lion of Arabia) willnot solve your problem. So get the fuck out.

Ibrahim said, Capturing or killing Zargawi or even Bin Laden *(The Lion of Arabia) willnot solve your problem. So get the fuck out.

Sure. We’ll get out as soon as the “religion of peace” gets their collective house in order. Until then we’ll be there killing the evil sons-of-bitches who cross us. Deal with it.

We’ll get out, Ibrahim, when the people of the middle east are set up with a free democracy not in the habit of sponsoring or condoning international terrorism.

Though I agree that neither bin Laden or even Zarqawi are the be-all and end-all of Islamic terrorism. They are just figure heads. Even if we got them another would rise in their place.

Which is why the spread of democracy is so important.
