The Taliban, that modern repository of hyper intellectualism, has decided that from this point forward they will be able to tell if someone is thinking things they maybe shoudn’t like, some music would be good right now, or, I really don’t like having a beard, or, cold beer, cold beer, and they will punish anyone who’s thoughts stray.

Thanks to the leftie race hustlers, we have the same thing over here; it’s called hate crime legislation, which punishes you for what you were thinking.  How is that any different?

Hope and change, in a free world, are the private possessions of motivated individuals.

Oh, but wait a minute Pil! You’re forgetting what the lib appeasers and so called “moderate” Muslims keep telling us;that chapter 2 verse 256 of the Qu’ran reads:

“There shall be no compulsion in religion.”

But even a glance at the rest of the Qu’ran, and Muslim history, reveals that we should not expect too much from its use.

While the Qu’ran merely describes the punishments that await the apostate in the next world [Qu’ran 3:86-91], the Hadith is emphatic about the justice that “must” be meted out in this one:

“Whoever changes his religion kill him.”

We might me tempted to accord great significance to the fact that this injunction does not appear in the Qu’ran itself, but in practical terms the hadith literature seems to be every bit as constitutive of the Muslim worldview.

Given the fact that the hadith is often used as the lens through which to interpret the Qu’ran, many Muslim jurists consider it to be an even greater authority on the practice of Islam.

Everybody ought to read it.

They said that “violators will be punished according to sharia”. Just how they will determine who’s thoughts are straying hasn’t been worked out yet. With all those Nobel Prize winners in the Religion of Peace a solution will be found shortly.

Also I would not take Buddhist/Muslim tensions out of context. They are both quite antagonistic towards each other in general in the whole area just east of India and have been for a while.
