While such feelings may be understandable from a historical perspective, the social and economic consequences of such feelings have been harmful in the extreme.

Consider, for example, the negative attitudes that many black students have towards academic success, which is seen as “acting white.”

Such attitudes inevitably lead to academic failure. Not coincidentally, black academic achievement has declined since the 1960s. This is a clear example of the self-destructive consequences of black animosity towards “white society.”

What about if he ‘forces’ you into the trunk of his car? Should you go? What about if he forces a gang rape? Turn the other cheek again?

Critical Race Theory is also to blame.Here’s critical race theory in action:

Judge Rosemary Barkett was nominated by Bill Clinton when she was chief justice of the Florida Supreme Court.

She was described by one of her colleagues on the Florida court as believing murderers were basically good people except for their tendency to kill people.

One such killer was Jacob Dougan, leader of what he called the “Black Liberation Army,” the goal of which was to “indiscriminately kill white people and thus start a revolution and a race war.”

Dougan killed an eighteen-year-old white hitchhiker, Stephen Anthony Orlando, and then made a tape describing Orlando’s murder in gruesome detail, which he mailed to the victim’s Mother and to the media.

“I loved watching the blood gush from his eyes.”

Nearly twenty years after Dougan’s conviction, Barkett voted to overturn the killer’s death sentence.

According to Barkett, Dougan’s case was “not simply a homicide case,” it was also a “social awareness case.” Her opinion is worth quoting at length:

This killing was effectuated to focus attention on a chronic and pervasive illness of racial discrimination and of hurt, sorrow, and rejection. Throughout Dougan’s life his resentment to bias and prejudice festered. His impatience for change, for understanding, for reconciliation matured to taking the illogical and drastic action of murder. . His frustration, his anger, and his obsession of injustice overcame reason. This victim was a symbolic representation of the class causing the perceived injustices.

To some extent, Dougan’s emotions were parallel to that of a spouse disenchanted with marriage, full of discord and disharmony which, because of frustration or rejection, culminated in homicide. We seldom uphold a death penalty involving husbands and wives or lovers, yet the emotions of that hate-ove circumstance are somewhat akin to those which existed in this case.

Such a sentence reduction should aid in an understanding and at least a partial reconciliation of the wounds arising from discordant racial relations that have permeated our society.

To a large extent, it was this disease of racial bias and discrimination that infect an otherwise honorable person and contribute to the perpetration of the most horrible of crimes.

An approval of the death penalty would exacerbate rather than heal those wounds still affecting a large segment of our society.

According to Critical Race Theory, Dugan ( a misunderstood victim) didn’t viciously murder another human being but rather (almost heroically and even justifiably) only sought to destroy a “symbolic representation” of racism. So you see, it wasn’t really his fault;it was a “racist” society’s fault.

The are many rationalized explanations for the “turn the other cheek” passages of (Matthew 5:38-42, NIV)& (Luke 6:27-31. NIV) that attempt to make it more practical (palatable) for today’s world, but Deuteronomy 13:7-11 has God explicitly blocking any symbolic interpretation of it:

“whatever I am commanding you, you must keep and observe, adding nothing to it, taking nothing away.”

Right?

Although blacks represent just 12 percent of the U.S. population, black perpetrators are convicted by their peers in more than half of all murder and manslaughter cases. And, per-capita black-on-white crime is far more prevalent than the inverse.

What about the double standard when it comes to race-hustlers like Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton (who fabricated the Tawana Brawley rape hoax)? The only difference in racists such as Jackson and Sharpton and those in the KKK is that the latter are not Leftmedia celebs. Is the NAACP ready to crank out some political ads on hate crimes? Are Teddy Kennedy and all the congressional race-baiters calling for additional hate-crimes legislation? Not for this case they’re not.

The five men charged with the rape and murder of Channon Christian and Christopher Newsom will make their next court appearance on 17 May. It’s safe to say that they will do so without a satellite news-link truck anywhere in sight.

Perhaps I haven’t been following personalities enough lately, but I read Neiman’s comment as facetiousness.
