America’s Paparazzi Endorses Teen Pregnancy

Seems a bit inappropriate to me to put seventeen-year-old Jamie Lynn Spears on magazine covers with her baby.

I’m no prude, but having a baby out of wedlock at the age of 17 (with the baby having been conceived when Ms. Spears was just 16) isn’t exactly a positive achievement. It certainly shouldn’t be glamorized for the young women of the nation who are no doubt paying close attention, most of whom would never have the resources Ms. Spears will have should they emulate her.

LOL… I didn’t get it and I’m very much “of age”.
I have never seen Murphy Brown so that’s my excuse

Somehow I think the little girls who lionize this tramp will have a bit more of a problem raising their own spawn, since they don’t all have multimillionaire sisters.

Just the reporting of this type of activity was deemed enough to bust up a a group.
I guess being in the spotlight has it’s up-side

When did you get your AARP card?

    I’m in denial
    ;-P

Bike Bubba: I suspect we’re both a bit older than the young’un!

When did you get your AARP card?

I won’t join AARP on principle, no matter how sweet the deals they can supposedly get me. AARP is strenuously anti-Second Amendment. Everytime they sent me something in the mail, I’m tempted to tape the post-paid reply card to a cinderblock!

    WKRP

Give it to me doctor, I can take it!

    Eh? What was that?

    We want Matlock!

You at least got the spelling one, though. Give yourself credit where it’s due.

Besides the age difference, Murphy Brown just wasn’t that funny in my opinion. My mother loved it, but I didn’t get the appeal, but maybe that’s just because I’m a guy or too young (at the time) or just stuck on real comedies like WKRP and Newhart.

Dan Quayle? I don’t get it.

The “Murphy Brown” unwed mother comments.

You’re really Dan Quayle, aren’t, you, Rob? :^)

    (I’m not sorry, but I just couldn’t resist…)

What Proof said. Dan Quayle addressed a Murphy Brown TV episode that more or less lionized the habit of unwed parenting. You did pretty much the same.

By the way, WELL DONE for doing so. You’re exactly right, and your spelling is OK, too. Thanks again for being our gracious (and I mean that) host.

That’s because my grade school teacher checked out a television for our classroom and showed us the video so she could mock Quayle.

    Ah, public schools.

Dan Quayle? I don’t get it. Is this a commentary on my spelling? Because I’m not seeing any glaring errors.

Ah. Quayle was VP from 1989 – 1993. I was age 9 – 13 during those years, and not exactly paying attention to politics.
    ;-)
