Americans Have Bought Enough Guns And Ammo In Last Three Months To Arm Entire Indian/Chinese Armies

Wondering why you’re having trouble finding guns and ammo to buy these days? This is why:

EveryTown, USA – -(AmmoLand.com)- In just 3 months Americans bought enough guns to outfit the entire Chinese and Indian army’s combined.
“You cannot invade the mainland United States. There would be a rifle behind every blade of grass.” – Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto WWII
You also bought 1,529,635,000 rounds of ammunition in just the month of December 2008. Yeah that is right, that is Billion with a “B”. This number takes no accounting of reloading or reloaded ammunition.
This is an evaluation of overall firearms and ammunition purchases based on low end numbers per Federal NIC instacheck data base Statistics. The numbers presented are only PART of the overall numbers of arms and ammunition that have been sold. The actual numbers are much higher.

Read that last part again. This is almost assuredly a low-ball estimate.
You can quote all the public opinion polls you want. This represents Americans voting with their wallets on their opinion of Obama and where he’s taking this country.
Given the financial downturn a lot of people are buying up gold as a way to preserve their wealth. Personally, I’m wish I’d bought stock in Smith & Wesson around the time Obama got elected.

Cue the rude left to come in and call these people “radicals”, “racists”, “nutters”, and “fringe”.

Because that is what “hope” and “change” is all about: being a rude and dismissive son of a bitch to your fellow Americans.

    Tater, Tater, Tater….

I’m very good with a blade and pretty much anything I can pick up so it’s not really needed often in my opinion

A guy with a knife goes up against a guy with a 22 and the guy with the knife is going to lose.

A guy with a knife goes up against a guy with a 22 and the guy with the knife is going to lose.

Even if the guy with the 22 gets a shot off he’s probably going to lose if the guy is motivated enough to finish the job.

You’re quoting yourself, then laughing at your own stuff.

    Can you say self absorbed?

Look at the time stamps. They were both posted within the same minute. With Hannitized’s extreme ADD, he’d probably forgotten he’d posted it!

Plus, he has a habit of laughing at stuff that no one else will!

And on hearing the repeated news of Gun ownership and ammunition buying skyrocketing – Obama and Company begin to figure out a way to take those guns away or make them illegal, or find a way to demonize those who have guns as murdering, thug-like, rednecks that are buying them to shoot thier parents with….ect

Better not give Obama and Company any ideas…..

No wonder the FBI has its eyes on you people. You brag about all the guns & ammo you have. I hope none of your family members gets ahold of them and has an unfortunate “accident”.

I don’t brag about my guns but I am passionate and proud to own them. In my opinion one can never have enough ammo, apparently millions of Americans agree with me.
My family has been in America since the 1800′s. We have all owned guns since then and the only family member to have ever been shot was in WWII(Okinawa).
Stay off the gun topic Wino2, your just as ignorant and uninformed about them as Obama.

Anyone comes at you with a knife that knows how to use it and they are within 10-20 feet of you, you will likely get cut at minimum, maybe lose your life if you don’t know how to evade a knife attack.

There are at least 8 1-stroke cuts can be made while facing an opponent that will kill them, if not instantly, within 2 minutes. Well before medical help can arrive. Don’t get cut.

These don’t include stabbing opportunities, or attacks from behind.

However, with proper training and technique, while you may bleed, the competent person with the gun will come out of it alive 8 out of 10 times.

This may be a true statement, depending on the conditions of the incidents being measured. What I’ve read is contradictory to an 8 out of 10 general survival rate. I’ll dig up some weblinks this evening. In the meantime, a video for your viewing pleasure.

Well.. I’m sort of a gun nut and all I’ve bought since November is one pound of powder.

I had plenty of stuff on hand though and have considerably cut back on shooting, knowing it won’t be easy to replace my stock.

Most of the gun types I know have done the same.

I joined the NRA and don’t even own a gun. I wonder how many other people have on top of all this guns and ammo buying.

Welcome to the club! Now go buy yourself a firearm, you won’t be disappointed. The NRA is one of the main reasons Americans are aware of Obama’s anti-constitutional intentions.

I should clarify my intentions with the post above – don’t underestimate a knife.

Knowing how to use both, I get quite irate when I hear people proclaim “don’t bring a knife to a gun fight”. Both are extremely potent tools, and need to be respected. To effectively use and defend against either, training is a must.

However, with proper training and technique, while you may bleed, the competent person with the gun will come out of it alive 8 out of 10 times. It’s not just about firepower, but how to evade, defend and maneuver to your advantage. This is why investing in good defensive firearms training might pay you back someday.

FWIW – hitting an enraged person or hyped up druggie with a .22 , unless it’s a direct hit to the brain or heart will not stop them. It’ll hurt like hell but with delayed reaction to the pain they’ll still get to you too fast. 9mm JHP or frangible is the minimum, .45 in frangible ammo like DRT is preferred. I know a lot of guys who carry snakeshot in the chamber, even if the first shot is off a little, chances are you’ll hit the attacker with part of the load, enough to squeeze off the second round with better accuracy.

A guy with a knife goes up against a guy with a 22 and the guy with the knife is going to lose.

False. It depends greatly on distance and readyness. If I’ve got my knife out and I’m within 20 feet of my opponent, and his gun is still holstered … he’s dead before he can shoot me.

If you’re going to ask: Yes, I’ve personally tested this multiple times. For someone more well known, go read M. Ayoob.

AR-15, I sold my rifle years ago. I have no interest in owning a firearm at the present by my own choice. I’m very good with a blade and pretty much anything I can pick up so it’s not really needed often in my opinion and I don’t hunt. However, others use them and they should be in the reach of the public to stave off tyranny.

Just don’t forget that the gun is nothing compared to the will to wield it and to wield it is frequently less worthwhile than to pointedly not.

Well for most shooters, they’re probably going to miss too. Stressful, rapidly developing situation. It’s hard to hit a target at times.

This is why a shotgun is probably the best home defense weapon. It’s hard to miss with.
