Amateur Hour Continues: Hillary Clinton Unaware of the Divine Origin of the Our Lady of Guadalupe

Mexico City, Mexico, Mar 27, 2009 / 04:59 pm (CNA).- During her recent visit to Mexico, U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton made an unexpected stop at the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe and left a bouquet of white flowers “on behalf of the American people,” after asking who painted the famous image.
The image of Our Lady of Guadalupe was miraculously imprinted by Mary on the tilma, or cloak, of St. Juan Diego in 1531.

To be honest I had no idea of the story behind the picture until I visited it. However I sure knew what I was looking at when I looked at it. It’s worth the trip by the way.
In her arrogance Hillary Clinton didn’t care to learn about the most important religious symbol in Mexico before she saw it. I mean there’s an entire hill full of churches all dedicated to the picture. Even if you are hostile to the Catholic Church and religion as a whole (which I believe the Clintons are) there’s no excuse for not realizing what the importance the Mexicans place in it.
The Obama administration is making the term “ugly American” a reality.

Attacking the Japanese during Midway and Leyte Gulf made them hate us.

Bombing Berlin in 1944 made the Germans hate us.

Shooting up the Ho Chi Minh trail with Spectre gunships made the NVA hate us.

Resisting the Soviets and Red-Chinese at every turn made them hate us too.

When you say they, I imagine you are talking about the small group which hit us on 9-11, none of whom were from Iraq. The whole mess should have been handled with law enforcement and not the military. We played right into Bin Laden’s plan.
