AM1100 “The Flag” Goes Live This Morning

If you’re not listening already, Scott Hennen’s new radio station (AM1100 “The Flag") is live this morning.  Scott’s on the air already, and joining him later will be none other than John McCain himself.

Also, to get live updates on your computer desktop from Scott’s show click here (there will also be an option in the program to let you get Say Anything headlines on your desktop as well).

Years ago I used to listen to Hennen on KCNN Hot Talk when he shared the mike with others.  Then he went solo, and started viewing himself as the Rush of the upper midwest.  He was a chronic supporter of the Aurora/Alerus.  Which means he either got snookered like the rest of us, or simply wanted to be part of the GF power elite.  The last straw for me was when he did ads for Pat Owens’ mayoral campaign.  How can you expect objectivity from someone when they have, ostensibly, stated their own preference?  I realize many Conservatives in the area look at him as an idol.  Well, I’m conservative, and don’t I will say this:  I admire the fact he dropped what looks like half his body weight.  In fact, on his blog I posted that he looked anorexic.  My post never appeared.  So much for open discussion.

He had gastric bypass surgery.

Back when KCNN had a web board, I called Hennen on the objectivity issue.  His response was the same as Rant-of-Dakota Huseby’s response, they aren’t news reporters, nor do they represent themselves as such.  They are commentators and they present things from their view.  Hennen was/is conservative in national issues but was terribly liberal with local issues.  As someone put it, “He (Hennen) would have defended Pat Owens if she had ordered the bombing of an orphanage.” I haven’t followed him since he left GF.  How is he on local Fargo/Moorhead issues?

"He had gastric bypass surgery.”

That would explain it.  I remember when he went on some diet regimen offered by one of the sponsors of the show.  Lost about 15 lbs, and then gained it all back and more.  Not a great example for the sponsor.

Yeah, I remember when I called Dakota “I want a publicly funded dog park for my canine” Huseby when adorable Howard was doing political spots for some candidate, while the show he was on was interviewing others.  Her response:  “Oh, that’s not Howard.  He’s actually just reprsentative of people in his demographic group.” Yeah, right.

I think he is great on national issues but some of the comments are spot on he hasn’t seen a city project that he didn’t like. The Alerus/Cannad Inn has turned into a decent city project…

The signal leaves a lot to be desired.
They claim KFAB out of Omaha is interfering with them.
I don’t buy it.

Yeah Kevin I tried to listen to it today and the signal wasn’t very good. I thought it was because of my XM-Radio antenna but it appears that there is some interference.
