As Hurricane Sandy wreaks havoc with the weather on the east coast, it’s worth remembering that at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at Arlington the honor guard stands firm.

I was touched when I saw the photo, and it’s a nice relief from the nastiness of the “crazy days” of a campaign cycle that’s nearing the end.

A reminder of our nation’s enduring commitment to those who have served.

Update: Apparently the picture above is an older one from September. This is a picture of the tomb today:
