Alicia Keys Is Insane

Turns out that Alicia Keys’ political opinions are much more entertaining than her music.

NEW YORK - There’s another side to Alicia Keys: conspiracy theorist. The Grammy-winning singer-songwriter tells Blender magazine: “`Gangsta rap’ was a ploy to convince black people to kill each other. `Gangsta rap’ didn’t exist.”

Keys, 27, said she’s read several Black Panther autobiographies and wears a gold AK-47 pendant around her neck “to symbolize strength, power and killing ‘em dead,” according to an interview in the magazine’s May issue, on newsstands Tuesday.

Another of her theories: That the bicoastal feud between slain rappers Tupac Shakur and Notorious B.I.G. was fueled “by the government and the media, to stop another great black leader from existing.”

Tupac Shakur?  Notorious B.I.G.?  Great black leaders?

My goodness.  I’m speechless.

Sheesh.. so typical!  Lame people like her, who lack self worth and/or are ignorant often turn to “group identities” to excuse them from actually having to face their own inadequacies. Wake up missy…

I pity people like her, she’ll continue her life never having known what it means to be fully human - because she won’t or can’t address her own problems without reflexively blaming or crediting others.

*shakes head*

I agree Anna.  I don’t give a seconds thought about what people like them think.  They are not in touch with reality and just try to get attention.  Anything for free media coverage.

A political party cannot be all things to all people. It must represent certain fundamental beliefs which must not be compromised to political expediency, or simply to swell its numbers.

Oh, Snap!!!! She’s onto us.  Now we have to come up with another way to implement our diabolical scheme.

In the words of the late, great Marcel Marceau, “___________.”

gilbyguy: I think that would have greater impact if you translated it from the original French!

For any voter trying to choose between the two candidates for commander in chief, there is no better test than this: When American strategy in a critical theater was up for grabs, John McCain proposed a highly unpopular and risky path, which he accurately predicted could lead to success. Barack Obama proposed a popular and politically safe route that would have led to an unnecessary and debilitating American defeat at the hands of al Qaeda.

Hey! Alicia Keys is one of the great beauties of this world. Everybody knows beautiful women aren’t necessarily smart.

Nah! Better change it back! The resident liberals around here have enough trouble with English!

Alicia Keys’ smarts aren’t the issue.  Like other artists and creative persons, Keys has a well-honed talent for translating fantasy and make-believe into a form that appeals to the rest of us.  In her case, the venue is music, but it could just as well be film, or poetry, or literature.

The problem arises when people like Keys, whose fame and fortune is based on their supple talent for make-believe, suddenly think that notoriety translates into importance.

Ms. Keys is certainly entitled to whatever opinions suit her, however moronic those opinions may be.  But like the rest of the Hollywood Left and the other condescending “Glitterati” Keys is one of the last persons whose opinions ought to be taken seriously.  If she had any sense in the first place, she’d recognize just how idiotic she sounds.

Alicia Keys is very pretty. BUT her voice sounds like a sick cow! At least in the one song I have heard. Her politics sound much like her voice.

Just out of curiosity, what “group identity” does Keys belong to?  Your insight on this is very interesting.

Also, I would just like to know where those kind of girls, hang out.

H,

Silly question!  She’s an artist who thinks that because she is popular her opinions are important.

I’ve always given NWA credit for thrusting gangsta rap into the national spotlight.

Alicia Keys is dipsy.
