On Tuesday I posted about the Alerus’s somewhat belated response to Rob’s Open Records Request to get the financial results from the Britney Spears.  By belated I mean that they moved up their press conference to announce the results to the public rather than holding up their response.

I want to highlight on part of the letter. 

“You can always find our monthly financials posted on the City’s website.  Our transparent posture is without question, so it seems odd about all the concern when we have conducted ourselves as an open book.”

My post earlier this week pointed out a problem with this part of the letter.  I couldn’t find ANY financial statements for the Alerus on the City’s website.  But no matter, the city has an excellent public information department (seriously) and I’ll just ask them.  This is what I heard back.

We are in the process of setting up the Alerus Center’s financial reports on our website.  Hopefully you will be able to access them in the near future.

Does this guy think I’m not obsessive enough to check.  Does he think I’m a moron and can’t find a way to verify whether he told us the truth or not.  (Well he does actually.)

So Steve, You’re a Moron, Hyman thinks he can lie to the public as well as insult them.  Why is he still employed?  He’s done nothing but lose money for the city.
