Alaska Governor Sarah Palin Wants Drilling In Alaska Now

No, ANWR won’t provide short-term gas relief.  But it will help us develop long-term reserves of oil.  Because like it or not, our dependence on petroleum isn’t going to change any time soon and there’s no reason why we can’t do what we can to increase our supply of oil while simultaneously seeking out alternatives.

Comments

The nihilistic mantra of the lefties has always been, “ANWR won’t help for years.”

But if we had started drilling five years ago in an area no bigger than an airport among millions of acres of arctic ‘pristine’ wasteland up there, we probably wouldn’t be facing an economic meltdown today.

Meanwhile, China is drilling 50 miles off our coast!! WTF!!!

Not drilling in ANWR because the benefits are years away is like avoiding the doctor because treatment will take months.  A self-destruct mentality if ever there was one! Let’s hope John McCain wakes up on this!

How dumb can we be!!??

bullshit. nonsense. explain the counter-factual you have going on here. how is that going to effect this country’s problems with public and private debt. How’s it going to cure our pre-occupation with ‘growth’ and not ‘controlling inflation’? pp offers a non sequitur.
