Alas, Ann Coulter Has Finally Lost The Last Of Her Marbles
How sad. In the words of Belle and Sebastian, it could have been a brilliant career.
Which brings me to this week’s scandal about No Such Agency spying on “Americans.” I have difficulty ginning up much interest in this story inasmuch as I think the government should be spying on all Arabs, engaging in torture as a televised spectator sport, dropping daisy cutters wantonly throughout the Middle East, and sending liberals to Guantanamo.
We’ll miss you, Ann.

Scott McClennan here to explain Miss Coulters remarks.
“the government should be spying on all Arabs”
Refers to only all bad Arabs.
“engaging in torture as a televised spectator sport,”was a mispelling and is about training Arab women in toe coture as the democratic freedoms now in place will allow Arab women to expose their painted toenails to male members of their families.
Miss Coulter and Dick Morris (an acknowledged toe expert) will be producing the training videos.
“dropping daisy cutters wantonly throughout the Middle East”
is to assure that our troops will be met by populations throwing flowers. The previous lack of daisy cutters forced the population to shower the troops with orange soda.
“sending liberals to Guantanamo.”
is Ms. Coulters belief in a limited reopening of American/Cuban tourism.
John, you are missing the point. To dave we are all aliens. We disagree with his sick view of the world, that makes us aliens.
doc:
Quite right, Rev. Jackson did father one child with one woman not his wife (I find the term “illegitimate” really offensive—a baby born out of wedlock is just as real, just as legitimate as one born to parents who filled out the paperwork).
In 2s world “1 baby with 1 woman” is the same thing as “9 babies with 5 women.”
Perhaps if the GOP stopped tryng to teach Bible stories in science class, we’d have better math skills, n’est pas?
Dave: Ann’s hyperbole is a satire on the constant hyperbole of the lefties. If your lockstep ideology permitted you a sense of humor, you would know that.
Why should I do the work you’re too dumb and lazy to do yourself, you cowardly asshole?
YOU make a claim, YOU prove it. Either that or shut the fuck up.
He recieved an honorary ordination, and he does have 9 illegitimate children by 5 women. A fact he has had to admit before a judge in the early ’90s when he was required to pay for the college education of one of them. Hopefully she majored in something other than political science.
George W. Bush is an alien.
Prove me wrong. You got nothing but time, 2hotel9boy.
He sat on the stand and admitted to having fathered 9 children with 5 women. He accepted financial responsebility for the education of one. The others subsequently refused to be involved with him in any way. Go to the archives at the Atlanta Journal-Constitution and check. Also the Gadsden Times did quite a bit of coverage on this. Also the newspaper in Montgomery covered it,can’t remember their name, their take being poor jesse was being unduly attacked. And also, the Times-Picayune had several articles on the subject, at that time jesse was being sued for not putting up the financial share he had contracted to in a business deal in LA. Something to do with black owned companies needing start-up money. This was the issue that began the split between jesse and Hose Williams, the city councilman from southside Atlanta. Seems he did not think jesse had the moral wherewithal to be the leader of the rainbow coalition, something like that. I was saddened to hear Hose had died, he was an honest man, if a bit flighty and sensationalistic.
Don: One out of wedlock child with one woman. Guess you lied when you said it was a “complete lie”. That would be 0 out of wedlock children with 0 women, I believe.
OOPS!
That sould read “Not partially untrue, completely untrue.”
Mea culpa…
Poor donnie boy, can’t accept his hero is a scum bag. BOOHOO! Go rewrite some more history, moron.
‘To all: Rob got it right. It’s satire!’
Actually it’s hyperbole.
bob:
Your commitment to believing untrue things is a credit to fanatics everywhere.
Fuzzy math, eh Don? Completely untrue: 0 out of wedlock children by 0 women not his wife. Completely true: 9 out of wedlock children by 5 women not his wife. Partially true: 1-8 out of wedlock children by 1-4 women not his wife. Not true enough: 10 or more out of wedlock children by 6 or more women not his wife. You see, Don, I respect your feelings about the word “illegitimate” being applied to children. I just wish you cared as much for the feelings of the children born to such a phony and a scoundrel as Jessee (Burns) Jackson, and for the feelings of the 50+ million unborn children slaughtered in the name of your philosophy. That would be meaningful. Otherwise your outrage is comical at best, and hypocritical at worst.
Don: What, no links to back that up? Any studies? Are you speaking from your own perceptions? No authority figures? Congratulations, Don, you may be growing up a little. Still no substantive facts, and only personal attack, but acting from your own perceptions shows a glimmer of hope for you.
Try this one:
I regret that the editors and reporters of the New York Times weren’t murdered in a terrorist attack!!!
Sorry; I borrowed that “joke” from Ann Coulter.
George W. Bush was born in Texas, and there are records to prove it. Extra-terrestrial impregnation or no Extra-terrestrial impregnetion, he is a citizen and not an alien.
doc:
#1, dave DID link to Ms. Coulter’s complete article, and
#2, the whole article is just as bugfuck crazy as the quoted paragraph.
Seriously, how can you defend this foam-at-the-mouth nutjob?
I have a sense of humor, 2hotel9. Here, try this one:
What’s worse than finding a worm in your apple?
…The Holocaust!!!
Prove me wrong. You got nothing but time, donnie boy.
Dave: “I have a sense of humor, 2hotel9. Here, try this one:”
Ha Ha, your type of sick humor? is not very funny. Barf barf.
I typically refer to Coulter as a “shrill harpy”, but that sure does sound like she’s maybe not quite entirely serious, in context.
Maybe it’s a joke in bad taste, but it still obviously appears to be an attempt at humor, in my reading.
I mean, she also says “Among the things that war entails are: killing people (sometimes innocent), destroying buildings (sometimes innocent) and spying on people (sometimes innocent).
That is why war is a bad thing. But once a war starts, it is going to be finished one way or another, and I have a preference for it coming out one way rather than the other.”
I don’t see how both of those blocks of text (the one I quoted, and the one this post is based on) can be serious, and the former’s hyperbole makes my judgment as to which is un-serious univocal.
Oh oh! Let me try one!
What’s the difference between dog shit and niggers?
When dog shit gets old it turns White and quits stinking.
::crickets chirping::
Oh well, I thought our “friend” WN might get a kick out of that one, but he’s probably heard it before….
Ummm… Is everyone just reading the bold? I’m having a hard time telling what people believe she said from the comments thus far?
“I have difficulty ginning up much interest in this story inasmuch as…”
Let’s simplify the language. I’m not interested in this story. The amount of interest that I have in this story (zero interest) is equal to my belief that…
Don’t just read the bold.
Well, I find Ann to be pretty humorous but I certainly find anything humorous about Jesse Jackson. As far as a humorist on the left side, well…help me out here I can’t think of anybody.
Rob, I have a couple of ideas that I would like to make post subjects. I’m kind of new on this so how I do a post on your blog.
PB, Ann likes to use acidic humor to illustrate a point. The left, having no sense of humor or balance does not get it. You, being a troop, have a slightly different sense of humor. Which the left calls evil. So lay back in the brush, watch how it falls out, and have fun, babe!
Why were the little strawberries upset?
Because they were in a jam!
Now THAT is humor.
Coulter is the Jesse Jackson of the Right… only difference is Jesse Jackson (among other liberal nuts) is actually taken seriously by their side…
All is forgiven, Rob, seeing Daves scandalous post gave me such a shock that for a moment I thought I had linked to dailykos by mistake.
&heellip; SA reader Dave submitted a post earlier today about Ann Coulter’s comments in a recent column. In response to that same column, North Dakota’s Democrats posted this on their official blog: So this is what Republicans believe. This is their idea of how our government should operate. Do the majority of Americans honestly want to abandon the ideals upon which our country was founded? Coulter does. &heellip;
The only thing I find offensive in this is people calling jesse “Reverend”. He has never graduated from ANY seminary, not ever. Not to mention the minor fact of 9 illegitimate children by 5 women. He is a con artist and extortionist, and that is all he will ever be.
ANN FOR PRESIDENT!!!!
So since you can’t prove that Bush is not an alien, that’s proof that he is an alien, right? (Based on your claim in this post, it is.)
Ya got that right!
And yet she has a nationally syndicated column, a string of NYT bestsellers, and appears several times a week in the liberal biased, commie/socialist/Bush = Hitler media.
How can that be?
So was I! (Isn’t it great how that excuse absolves us from personal responsibility?)
I’m not a big fan of Coulter’s, but seriously Don, give me a break. If you can’t tell that the paragraph singled out by Dave is written as sarcasm, then you’re an idiot.
The rest of the column is actually a pretty articulate piece about why the NSA spy controversy shouldn’t be a controversy after all.
Grow up already Don.
Don Myers said, Seriously, how can you defend this foam-at-the-mouth nutjob?
Pot – meet kettle.
OOPS! Hit “post too soon.
That should read “anti-American foam-at-the-mouth nutjob.”
mea culpa…
Don Myers said, Seriously, how can you defend this foam-at-the-mouth nutjob?
Definitely, Lik, takes one to know one and, yes, Don, I do defend your right to make your outrageous statements. Oh, but I forget that for a liberal the right of free speech only applies to what they say.
2:
How about YOU to the archives at the Atlanta Journal-Constitution and check. After all, it’s YOU who made this claim, it should be YOUR reponsibility to back it up with evidence.
Are you afraid of taking responsibility for your claims? After all, you’re too chicken to sign your name to them…
Or are you just lazy?
Oh, and donnie, I don’t have to prove anything. jesse sat in front of the judge and admitted he fathered illegitimate children, not me. Want it disproved? Get jesse to do so.
2:
You’ve repeated this lie before. I’ve already pointed out that Rev. Jackson was ordained as a Baptist minister on 30 June 1968, altho’ didn’t finish his studies at Chicago Theological Semminary until 2000.
Look it up.
See? Talk radio is turning your head into mush! This is a complete lie.
Maybe we should let the people read Anns entire article before casting judgement http://wnd.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=48024
Rob, I am really disappointed that you let Dave post this vicious attempt to slander Ann by taking part of your article out of context.
Yes dave, to you he is an alien.
Y’know, the funny thing is there are plenty of REAL things to berate Rev. Jackson for without making shit up.
To all: Rob got it right. It’s satire! She has a purpose, which is to make leftie heads explode, and she accomplishes it every time. Don, Dave and the rest of the lefties illustrate how good she is at what she does. Cheers for Ann!
donnieboy is crying, donnieboy is crying, tell us, donnieboy, what does it profit your guilty, white, liberal self to defend jesse”Race baiting poverty pimp” Jackson? He sees you as a revenue source. What do you get out of the transaction?. And dave? I don’t have to prove anything. G.W. Bush is an alien to you. He is a man, something you are not going to be. Ever.
So you’re both irresponsible AND lazy, 2.
Imagine my surprise…
You believe wrong, bob. “9 babies w/ 5 women” is untrue. Not partial untrue, completely true.
Get it?
Hey, Don, you’re frothing from the mouth again. What you posted is close but no cigar. According to Wikipedia
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jesse_Jackson Jesse whose real name is Jesse Louis Burns “did not finish his divinity studies at the time, but was awarded a Master of Divinity in 2000 based on those studies and life experience” which means that the degree is more honorary that scholastic.
As far as illegitimate children, Wikipedia only says that Jesse “had an affair with a young staffer, Karin Stanford, that resulted in the birth of his daughter Ashley”.
Yes, sir, a fine outstanding fellow is our boy Jesse.
Sorry it took me so long to respond, Doc. If you want to submit posts just follow the directions here.
Doc, on Say Anything I’ve extended an invitation to all comers to submit posts for publish. Dave submitted this, and I published it. Yes, Dave is taking Coulter out of context. She was being humorous, but I subscribe to the “give ‘em enough rope” approach. Dave now looks pretty stupid as he’s been called out for some selective quotation.
I took the comments in question to be satirical of the typical claims made by leftists of those on the right.
You know about satire, right? Using humor or exaggeration to make a point?
There’s nothing to absolve her of. Other than being an overbearing loudmouth, maybe.
