Al Gore’s “Scientific Consensus” Forced To Admit Officially That They Threw Away Climate Data

Climategate continues to grow as the London Times reports that the scientists who represent the “scientific consensus” on human-caused global warming threw away data that was inconvenient for their findings.

SCIENTISTS at the University of East Anglia (UEA) have admitted throwing away much of the raw temperature data on which their predictions of global warming are based.
It means that other academics are not able to check basic calculations said to show a long-term rise in temperature over the past 150 years.
The UEA’s Climatic Research Unit (CRU) was forced to reveal the loss following requests for the data under Freedom of Information legislation.
The data were gathered from weather stations around the world and then adjusted to take account of variables in the way they were collected. The revised figures were kept, but the originals — stored on paper and magnetic tape — were dumped to save space when the CRU moved to a new building.
The admission follows the leaking of a thousand private emails sent and received by Professor Phil Jones, the CRU’s director. In them he discusses thwarting climate sceptics seeking access to such data.
In a statement on its website, the CRU said: “We do not hold the original raw data but only the value-added (quality controlled and homogenised) data.”

Right. Because who would want to keep the raw data? I mean, it’s not like anyone might want to question and double-check these findings which are the basis for government policies that would both increase taxes and limit liberty drastically all over the world.
The arrogance of these “scientists” (I’m not sure it’s even appropriate to use this term for them any more) is nothing short of astounding.

We should trust these “homogenised” results? I would trust a drunk leprechaun on St Paddys day first!

And the only Cable News Network that carried the news was: FNN. The Truth.

  • sayanything-98

Lie, he lied. My next post on The Truth may be a comparison between a lie and a hoax.

Science will not, and should not ever be viewed as fact after this scandal, with out all the data from beginning to end being available. Any scientist who signs on to this bogus study as settled science should be embarrassed.

Gee that’s weird. I never hear about this happening to the Hoover Institute. Yet I have it on good authority … urk, choke, snurfle … actually I only have it on the authority of Timmy The Troll, that … oh how did he put it? … ah yes:
    http://tinyurl.com/yh5c3ca
“The Hoover Institute is a right propaganda tool, which conveniently cherry picked the data, to mislead the public [a common tactic of the right],”
I sure he shows up to enlighten me about how come the CRU and IPCC are caught doing the very thing that he accuses the H.I. of. And of course, I’d really like it if he could provide One Single Example of when and where the Hoovers have done that. Because i KNOW it’s not too much trouble for a hard hitter like Tim to actually back up his freely-dished-out accusations with actual facts. I know he can do it!
I’d also like a unicorn for my birthday.

And lied to law enforcement authorities in England, don't forget that one, something they take a rather dim view of.

This right here shoots holes in the research's credibility.

The hacked emails said they would destroy data before they would ever release it, why should we expect any less?

  • sayanything-342

The smoke screen on this is far from over. The honest must hold these scum bags feet to the fire. This is too important to cave in to their propoganda. From now on there must be empirical evidence of all AGW reports and all reports must be triple checked for accuracy.

I doubt the totalitarians ruling over all that passes for science will accept such circumstances.

Randy, their 'experts' were high school dropouts, hollywood 'actors and actresses' and a failed presidential candidate. Oh, the socialist UN also.

They should be censured and driven from their field, all work done by them is now suspect. If they falsified data and lied about this, what else have they falsified and lied about.

And as I keep pointing out, some of them lied directly to law enforcement in England. THAT is the one that is going to drive this.
