Al Gore’s Dumb Concert Idea

I was reading this article in The Sun about Who’s Roger Daltry calling Al Gore’s “Live Earth” rock concert project, well, stupid, and something occurred to me.

According to the event’s website there will be concerts on “all seven continents” to raise awareness and money to fight global warming.  That’s right, all seven continents.  Meaning that there’s apparently going to be a concert on Antarctica.

Now remember that Al’s movement is all about not using lavish, unnecessary amounts of energy...yet how much energy will Al’s concert crews burn trying to throw a rock concert on the coldest, most remote, most forbidding landmass on the face of the earth?  I mean, it’s Antarctica.  Are they going down there to perform for the penguins?  Or just to fulfill the promise of having a performance on every continent?

And if so, what’s more lavish and unnecessary than that?

Maybe something for Al Gore to ponder when he’s jetting about in his private Gulfstream or getting a ride in a luxury limousine to the next event where he’ll tell us all to quit driving so much and ride bicycles.

Not that I mind bicycles so much, I just sort of get a little peeved when a guy with a private jet, a 20-room mansion and a fleet of vehicles tells me to quit using so much energy.

Al Gore is nothing but a modern day televangelist with Global Warming as his nebulous trinity. His whole act is nothing more than a money grab with a new twist on an old sin...guilt.

Al Gore definitely has an agenda.  I have thought that there was something fishy going on with all of his goody-two-shoes act.  Then I happened on this article that shows exactly what he is up to.  Damage control.  The article is here:

http://tinyurl.com/3xoxv2

It’s a long article, but its chock full of facts.  This article is full of what’s really wrong with this country and how to get it back on track.

Suzanne, I can’t believe that you were swayed by the crap in your posted link.  What that aricle is full of is misinformation and outright lies. I particularly enjoyed this part.

Funny that Gore is only just now speaking up about the fact that everything the U.S. is doing is based on LIES (can we say that word, Mr. Gore?). Funny that he is only NOW talking about “massive and well-understood evidence” that is totally ignored by the Bush Ziocon Reich. Why didn’t he do something before over 600,000 Iraqis were murdered in an illegal war of aggression created by Bush’s handlers? Why didn’t he do what he COULD have done back in 2000 when Bush and his gang illegally stole the election away from him? Why is Gore only now finding that he has cojones or a conscience? After all, I saw what was going on then and wrote about it and so did a lot of other people. But we were all branded “conspiracy theorists” and Gore just faded into the background to emerge only now, when the heat is really being turned up on Bush & Co.

Why you waste your time on this anti-war anti-Bush screed boggles my mind.  My advice to you: get a life far far away from people that write and believe this stuff.

You don’t have to be a moron to be a liberal Democrat but it sure helps.

Why now?  Are you kidding?  Al Gore has been talking about climate change for 30 years.  No one has listened.  I am from ND originally, and I realize you all think that the world has endless supplies of water (like the Missouri never gets a little low, but that’s the Dam’s problem right? Not the fact that you rarely get precipitation).  Wake up.  The Bush administration has nearly bankrupted this country and still pretends to be some moral compass for the nation.  Get real.  Have you truly ever witnessed such imcompentence, greed, and lying?

Paul Turnbow - what does your screed have to do with Al Gore’s concert idea?

likwidshoe on May 19, 2007 at 11:11 pm

Paul,

Egads, where do I begin with addressing your drivel? What you fail to acknowledge is that those who don’t buy into Al Gores nonsense are not ignorant, were just not gullible sheep like yourself. We actually research the issues with the assistance of real science and not “junk science” so frequently used by the gorebots. The mounting evidence suggests that Gores entire premise is full of holes.

As for the American economy, it is far from bankrupted. Your statement alone shows a lack of knowledge of basic economics. And yes I witness incompetence, greed and lying daily. It’s called the Democrat party. If you want a poster child for incompetence, greed and lying look no further than Al Gore himself. Now that is a bankrupted individual if ever there was one.

Suzanne,

I agree, Al Gore is a pathological liar.

docdave,

See things as you want.  That’s your choice.

But there is definitely something very wrong with our country.

The signs of what went down in Nazi Germany back before WWII are all over the place here in the USA.  I find it amazing that you don’t want to see this.

And what boggles my mind is that you seem to be defending the senseless war that is taking the lives of so many people, both Americans and Iraqi.  And all for a lie.  Sad, sad story.

I, for one, am tired of the senseless killings, the dictator-like power that Bush is wielding and the fact that he seems to be a psychopath doesn’t help either.

But that’s just me.  We all have our choices to make.

Really?  People are being rounded up and shipped off to labor camps?  Bush is declaring himself supreme leader?  Democratic elections are being haulted?

Wait a minute, the Dems just took back the majority in Congress...is that what you’re talking about when you invoke the Nazis?  Or are you maybe just engaging in a bit of pointless, naive hyperbole?

Taking out a dictator is senseless and it was based on “lies” that most of the world intelligence agencies happened to agree on.

Riiiight...drink some more of that grape Kool-Aid Suzanne.

If you are looking for signs of Nazi Germany look no further than the Islamo Fascists. They would love to finish the job in Israel.

As for psychopath dictators, Saddam fit that job description quite well. You on the other hand definitely could use some therapy and an education.

Actually, Global Warming is just a code word, double speak if you will, for the communists/globalists discription of the reversed direction of the slow methodical progression of the Communists “One World Government Crusade”, which took a major hit, due to the terrorist plot the communists designed. They thought we were ripe for the rolling over of America and that the terrorist plot of 9/11 would be the coup de grasse that would send America reeling toward it’s own emplosion.

Well, they guessed wrong...and have been spending the last 6 years recovering what they lost, in the way of underground revolution.

So, in order to reorganize the revolution in America, they are sending overtures to the entire world to help finish the collective deed in America.

Those that don’t understand what I’m talking about need to read about Antonio Gramsci and Georg Lucaks to get a better understanding of the double speak going on between the communist revolutionary leadership.

I hate the ones who extol the virtues of Communism while enjoying the fruits of Capitalism and Democracy.

For all you Kool Aid drinking lefties, who call Bush a cronie, need to examine you own lives. Are you selling drugs, or running rackets to make money, then look no farther than your own nose for signs of cronies. For those of you that think Bill and Hillery Clinton can do no wrong, I adjure you to re-examine the past, the Bill Clinton years...by going to http://prorev.com/legacy.htm

For those of you that think that Bill Clinton led a marvelous administration need to rediscover the facts.

Brian.  Well put.  Sort of like “equal rights” for homosexuals.  I have yet to hear or see what rights these behaviors are being singled out except for spreading communicable diseases.
