Al Gore On Saturday Night Live

Here it is, if you missed it.

I hate that smarmy prig.

The only parts I found funny where when he talked about how low gas prices would have been during his administration (we'd probably be around $5.00/gallon right now if Mr. "Global Warming" had his way with enviromental policy) and the nation having a budget surplus.

I know Republicans haven't exactly been living up to their conservative ideals when it comes to government spending, but the idea that it would have been any better under Gore is down-right hilarious.

There's a reason why George Bush is this nation's most powerful leader and Al Gore is busy trying to stay in the spotlight by doing cameos on a late-night, past-its-prime comedy show.

Ohhhh… c’mon! It was pretty funny, and I can’t stand the guy either.

I didn’t laugh, and I like to think i have a pretty good sense of humor.

Maybe I’m just tired and cranky.

The purpose of government shouldn’t be to do good, but simply to refrain from doing evil.

Gore’s lack of being in touch with reality gave me the willies.

There is nothing at all funny about Mr. "No-Controlling-Legal-Authority."

Hilarious.

Robert, it wasn’t ‘real’, it was a comedy sketch.

It almost made me wish I’d voted for Algore.

I wonder who wrote the sketch.  It wouldn’t surprise me if Gore wrote it himself.  I know a lot of lefties who really believe that sort of thing.

It was a comedy sketch and it was funny. The whole point was that it isn’t reality. Don’t be so uptight.

"There’s a reason why George Bush is this nation’s most powerful leader and Al Gore is busy trying to stay in the spotlight…"

Yeah, a 5-4 party line vote by the Supreme Court. Given Bush’s poll numbers today, a re-run of that election would look like Reagan (Gore) vs. Mondale (Bush).

Joe, looking at the most recent election…where 63,000,000 Americans voted for Bush…I wouldn’t be so sure.

I thought it was very funny, until it occurred to me he might actually believe part of the bull%$#@ he was spouting.

Yeah, see…that’s the part that turned me off too.

From a Gore impersonator, it would have been hilarious.

And what of the 60,000,000 who didn’t?

If Bush were an actual leader, he would be addressing the problems in Iraq and Iran, not pandering to his 30% base.

The conservative base is the majority in this country.  Republicans were swept into office in 1994 with promises of conservatism.  They’re in trouble now for not being conservative.

Meanwhile, liberals continue to marginalize themselves.  They may get some success as Republicans shoot themselves in the foot, but if Bush wants to stem his problems he needs to get conservative.

Duh!! They haven’t been living up to their conservative ideals when it comes to federalism, indididual liberty, or simple competence, either.
